00:13A Bersatu insider said both leaders were aiming to place their proxies in key positions across

00:21The fiercest contest between the two factions is seen in the race for the Supreme Council,

00:26with 80 candidates competing for the 20 seats available.

00:30He said the Wanita Bersatu contest was initially between Rina Harun, aligned with Azmin, and

00:36Mas Ermiyati Samsudin from Hamza's camp.

00:39But with Rina withdrawing her candidacy, Azmin's camp now lacks a candidate for the top spot.

00:45He said Azmin's camp is shifting its focus to the youth wing, and has backed Gombak Setia

00:50Assemblyman Hilman Itham for the Bersatu Youth Chief's post, while Hamza's camp is supporting

00:56Bersatu Youth Permanent Chairman Akmal Zahin Zain al-Zahir for the same post.

01:02The results of the party polls will determine who controls the decision-making power in

01:07Bersatu, especially in the Supreme Council, he said.

01:11Hamza faces no contest for the deputy president's post and will replace Ahmad Faizal Azumu,

01:18who is running for a vice president slot, while Azmin is sitting out this election,

01:23with speculation rife that he is set to take over from Hamza as the new secretary-general.
