00:09Defense Secretary Gilberto Todoro Jr. thanked the American government for sending their two aircrafts

00:18to assist in the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief mission to the victims of the Super Typhoon Julian in Batanes.

00:27Yesterday, the two USKC-130J aircrafts arrived at the Villamor Air Base

00:33to assist in the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief mission to the victims of the Super Typhoon Julian in Batanes.

00:39With the help of the two aircrafts, 1,000 family food packs from DSWD,

00:461,000 shelter repair kits from the Office of Civil Defense,

00:502,500 graded tarpaulin sheets, and 1,000 kitchen sets from the International Organization for Migration.

00:57This humanitarian mission was made possible by Defense Secretary Todoro

01:03and also by the Coordination of the Office of Civil Defense Administrator under Secretary Ariel Nepomuceno.

01:09According to Secretary Todoro, he is deeply grateful to the American government

01:14for their swift response and firm support during this time.

01:19In addition, their assistance is important while the government is trying to rebuild

01:25and provide assistance to the communities affected by the Super Typhoon Julian.

01:31For Usec Nepomuceno, this mission shows the strong cooperation between the Philippines and the United States.

01:40Nepomuceno is also proud of the commitment of their US counterparts

01:45in providing the necessary assistance to those affected by the typhoon.

01:50This humanitarian mission is part of the US government's continued commitment

01:55to disaster relief efforts through the United States Agency for International Development or USAID.
