02:00All right, guys. Join us. I was saying, don't forget if you guys want to tune in with us
02:03in October, we're going to be in Fantasy Fest. I've always said that Fantasy Fest is one
02:08of those places, one of those festivals that you have to visit at least once in your lifetime
02:13because it's like you're walking into another world. It's a lot of fun. We've been going
02:17for the past, how many years now? I have no idea, but never missed it. There was one year
02:22that I think that they were like destroyed by the hurricane and were able to at least
02:27pick it up as fast as possible because that's their main income coming in for the city of
02:33Key West. So yeah, show their support. It also explains why everything is inflated like
02:39five times. But it is a cute little city. I think it's considered a city. I don't know
02:45if it's a town. Key West es una ciudad, no? No un pueblo. Si, no? Una ciudad, si. Yeah,
02:51it's a city. So yeah, they have a beautiful butterfly, I guess maybe museum or butterfly
02:58conservatory. Highly recommended. So, so, so beautiful. All right, guys. Join us. Our
03:03topic for today, social media. This actually came to my mind earlier yesterday. Jenny,
03:10in the time following the biblical great flood, when all surviving men spoke the same
03:16language and shared a common understanding, they decided to build a great tower that would
03:20reach so far into the heavens, it would bring them to the very gates of kingdom of God.
03:25God didn't like that, so he cast down the tower so that men would never again be able
03:31to conspire to build such a thing. He confused mankind by making them speak and think in
03:35different languages. Right? We are really confused. Why don't we just speak the same
03:39language? Somebody should come up with a universal language. That's it. Is social media our
03:44modern day of the tower of Babel? Hmm. Interesting concept. Okay. In order for society to work,
03:51it needs a central narrative, core values around which all can gather and more or less
03:55agree. There no longer seems to be a shared trust in our institutions, both temporal and
04:01spiritual, and sadly, social media appears to be much better at tearing down trust than
04:05it is at building it up. Yeah, isn't it sad that, I mean, let's put social media even
04:10aside, like the internet in general, right? There's so much information out there, like
04:14we were saying yesterday with my mom in the show, but at the same time, there's so much
04:18misinformation out there that there's no, like, fact checkers anymore. You know, like,
04:22what's a fact online? There isn't. So you hear one thing and then you hear the other
04:26and you say, oh, wait, but it's signed by a scientist or by a doctor, and all of a sudden
04:30it's like, yeah, that one's also signed by a scientist or doctor because they're also
04:34advancing and competing to see who comes up with the more research first, right? So we're
04:39just kind of like our lab guinea pigs. Yeah. Anyway, going back to internet or social media,
04:45let me translate it in Spanish. Join us, guys, if you're live. Come say hello.
04:57Hello, Jay. Hi, Joe. We're early. You're early with me. Awesome.
05:13Sorry, my friends.
05:26She has to do smart. Beautiful. Hey, Jean, how are you? Absolutely gorgeous. Hey, guys,
05:41Brazil, welcome. Queen Jenny, she's the best. Welcome, guys. I have to give a big shout
05:47out. The number one city that watches us, at least on YouTube, I have to find the one
05:53number one city that watches Jenny live is California. So big hugs to everybody in California.
05:59Thank you for having me in your home. And the next one is Texas. So also giving a shout
06:03out to our friends out there in Texas.
06:23Here they're doing a whole show. They know we have a lot of cats and dogs. Well, not a lot.
06:28A few cats and dogs. Very pretty. Hi, Andrew, how are you? Ah, I get it. You talk about
06:36tourism programs. We've done several, but I haven't had time to edit them and upload
06:42them to YouTube. So if you're on Miami TV, the members have everything first, but I haven't
06:47taken the time to actually upload things to YouTube. But they'll be there. In the meantime,
06:52we're on Jenny live. Coco Beach, how are you? How are you? Hello, Carlos. Very phenomenal,
06:57miss. Thank you very much. Welcome. Well, what do you think? Do social media separate
07:02us or unite us? I would take out the social network and say the Internet. The Internet
07:08separates us or unites us today, even talking about information. We have so much information
07:12on the Internet that yesterday with my mom on the show, if you didn't see it, it's already
07:16uploaded so you can see it, talking about neurolinguistic programming. If you're already
07:22in... I forgot what I was going to say, thinking about the show. If you're already in that
07:29lifestyle of having social media as part of your life all the time, it's obviously
07:34going to be very difficult to remove it. I know I went completely the other way, but
07:38I'm going to read you today's topic. It says, in the time that we are thinking, for example,
07:43in the history of the Bible, when all the men who were surviving that horrible flood,
07:49it says, if they had spoken the same language and had the same common understanding,
07:54no, sorry, if they had the same language and the same common understanding,
07:59then they decided to build the great tower of Babel, which at that time would be a tower
08:05that would take us to heaven and would take us to the doors of God's kingdom,
08:11the kingdom of God. God didn't like it, so he threw down the tower and said that
08:16men would never again have to conspire to build something like that. In this case,
08:21he simply confused all human beings and made them speak and think in different languages.
08:27Your story is very nice. I don't know if it's true or not, I wouldn't know how to say it,
08:33but it would be much easier if we all spoke the same language. How about that?
08:37Maybe when the flying saucers come down and the aliens come down,
08:43we will have something more in common worldwide and we will speak only one language.
08:48Who knows? The language of the soul, the language of silence.
08:52Look, if meditators are always in silence, then it must be for something, right?
08:57We have to start listening to other dimensions that are not what we are covering
09:00only with our voice. So they say, believe me,
09:03they say that today's modern social network is like our Babel tower.
09:06What do you think? Are social networks good or bad?
09:10I think everything has a good and a bad side, right?
09:13The other day I was thinking and I said, I feel like we are building our own.
09:17Before, you couldn't have, now I remember, with what we were talking about with my mom,
09:21at that time you couldn't have communication or have enough information about something
09:25because you didn't have a place to look for it, right?
09:27Today there is no excuse to have ignorance about something.
09:31However, with the internet issue, we are already playing a double role on the internet
09:37because people who tell you that consuming such a thing is bad
09:40and then the other one comes out and says that consuming it is good,
09:42there comes a point when we don't know what to believe, right?
09:45So we are in difficult waters, we could say.
09:48However, social networks, in my opinion,
09:50I think they are places where we are going to look for an escape
09:54to be able to shelter around people who think similar to us.
09:58Because, look, most people who spend a lot of time on social networks,
10:03and I don't say it as something good or bad,
10:05because I also spent a lot of time on social networks with my job,
10:09but we feel sheltered, right?
10:13With a group of people in which we share the same interests,
10:18that we can't talk to our neighbors or our relatives,
10:22but nevertheless, through the internet,
10:24with people we don't know personally, it becomes much easier.
10:28Previously, it was to have that bad neighbor,
10:32and, well, I mean, I got there.
10:34You have to stand up for yourself,
10:36put a smile on your face when there is no good relationship,
10:39and, well, the town shrank, you can't get out of there.
10:42But nowadays, people directly isolate themselves on their cell phones, right?
10:45It's like, what? I don't get along with the outside world?
10:48Well, then, this is my world.
10:50And I think it has its good and its bad.
10:53Good because, well, at least you found a place where you felt safe,
10:56where you felt good, that you connect.
10:58But at the same time, you are moving away from situations
11:02that you may have to face physically as a normal person, right?
11:06Because what also makes us have spiritual growth are experiences.
11:11If we lock ourselves in one place,
11:13and we still have a lot of things to learn,
11:15which is something that never ends, right?
11:17Obviously, there is no age to keep learning.
11:19But if it's a long time,
11:21there comes a point when you stop putting yourself in situations
11:24so that you have these experiences.
11:26So, that's where your learning came from, right?
11:29I mean, you have to be...
11:31In English, they are telling me,
11:32yes, sorry, I was all motivated in Spanish.
11:34Well, but you have to be in situations of comfort,
11:37but at the same time,
11:38in situations that constantly teach you something, right?
11:54There no longer seems to be a shared trust in our institutions,
11:56both temporal and spiritual.
11:57I think I read this in English, sorry.
11:59Sadly, social media appears to be much better at tearing down trust
12:01than it is at building it up.
12:03It's obvious that social media can be as highly effective
12:05in promoting ignorance as it can be in promoting enlightenment.
12:09Absolutely.
12:11Sorry.
12:16It lends a lie much better...
12:18It lends a lie as much importance as the truth.
12:20And it said,
12:22a lie can speed around the world
12:24while truth is still tying a shoelace.
12:26Oh my God, that is so true.
12:28You have no idea how true that is.
12:30We've come to the conclusion...
12:32Well, my meditator came to a conclusion the other day and said,
12:35it's almost as if people don't care to change.
12:39It's like the majority of the world
12:41is basically kind of zombie-like asleep, right?
12:44And they're okay with their mediocre life because it's safe.
12:48So, but they said,
12:50don't worry, one day will come and we're not too far from it
12:53where everybody will realize the real need of positive energy
12:56and how to build it in your home.
12:58So, you're actually so true.
13:02The things that are popular today that you're seeing
13:04that are winning Grammys or getting awards
13:07and it's all things that actually support
13:10the ignorance in the mind of people today
13:12which is like the...
13:13And with all the respect to everybody that's in this industry,
13:15but for example,
13:17the music industry in some cases,
13:20there's certain music that is not at all beneficial for our life
13:23or the people that you're raising,
13:26the vibrations are horrible, the message is horrible,
13:28the subliminal messages are horrible.
13:30And it's just...
13:31So, when you see that there's things out there today
13:34that are so popular and the things that actually matter
13:37and should be considered and taken into consideration over others
13:42are not having an importance,
13:44that basically tells you like how our world is right now.
13:46Our world is shit, I'm sorry to tell you,
13:48but we're living in a really nasty version of Earth, okay?
13:52But like I've said for the last couple of shows,
13:54nothing to worry about, it's not going to be here forever
13:56and things will change.
13:58It's just that we're going to have to go through some big bumps
14:00before that change, but we're not too far from it.
14:03So, you are going to see it in your lifetime.
14:05So, I think social media is exactly that.
14:08It's uniting yourself with people that think alike.
14:14So, imagine back in the day,
14:16like we were talking with my mom yesterday, right?
14:18Imagine back in the day, if you didn't like your neighbor,
14:21if you didn't know something, you had to ask somebody else,
14:24you had to ask for directions.
14:26Today, we are so much more independent
14:28because it's just something that we have in our hand
14:31that we can use at any time and boom, you have the answers.
14:34So, we said yesterday, and I've always said this,
14:36if you don't know something today, it's just because you're ignorant,
14:38not because you don't know it.
14:40But at the same time, when it comes to the internet,
14:42putting social media aside, but when it comes to the internet,
14:44there's so much misinformation that we are already
14:46in that kind of difficult mode, I guess you could say.
14:51We're no longer in a safe mode. There's a little fly.
14:54So, it's no longer safe to search information on social media
14:56because there's always somebody, tenemos una visitante,
14:59there's always somebody that is going to try to prove you wrong.
15:04So, it's at that point in life,
15:08that's the kind of life that we're living in.
15:10And unfortunately, we're in a world where things that are popular
15:13are the ones that should be less popular
15:16because people have a conscience, and it's the total opposite.
15:19Most people today don't have a conscience
15:21and are just living their life and letting life pass them by,
15:24than being aware of their thoughts
15:26and being aware of the things that are going on around them.
15:28When you start to be awake, when you get out of that box,
15:31everything will just change for you
15:33because it's just specifically that.
15:36Actually, what I just said, getting out of the box.
15:39You're looking outside of what you're normally just looking at.
15:42So, you're living life with all of your senses,
15:44not just the perception of automatic that you have in your life
15:50where you brush your teeth, you go to work, you come back home,
15:53you cook, you clean the diapers.
15:55Well, do you clean diapers?
15:56Yeah, I guess.
15:58Is there diapers that are washable?
16:00Sorry, out of context.
16:02You know what I mean, like the house tourists, right?
16:05So, yeah, I agree.
16:07I think it's 50-50.
16:10There's the positive side of it and the negative side of it.
16:13But overall, I believe that we reach social media so much
16:18because it's our comfort zone.
16:20We want to be surrounded by people that think alike.
16:24It's something that we've always done,
16:26even when the internet wasn't here.
16:28Except back in the day, you couldn't do anything
16:30if you had a shitty neighbor.
16:32All you had to do was just go out, smile, and that's it.
16:34Because the towns were small or whatever.
16:37The word got around.
16:39Today, there's a lot more free speech.
16:41There's the internet.
16:42There's a lot of people that think like you.
16:43So all of a sudden, when back in the day,
16:45you used to be the weird one in town,
16:46now you're not weird anywhere
16:48because there's absolutely somewhere in the other part of the world
16:50that thinks exactly like you.
16:52So we start creating this net, right?
16:55That's why it's called network.
16:57You start creating this net of people around the world
17:00with similar likes.
17:02Some for good, some for bad.
17:04But overall, all good for you
17:06because even if you're into something bad,
17:09who says, I mean, we're not going to get into this,
17:11but for you, for people that do bad things,
17:14don't realize that it's bad.
17:16That's what I mean to say.
17:18So we're comforted.
17:20We're feeling like we're in this safe mode
17:23where it's okay, our friends online get me.
17:27And maybe you isolate yourself a little more from society than you should.
17:31But remember that what gives you enlightenment particularly
17:34is your experiences.
17:36So never put yourself in a situation
17:38where you're stopping your life to have experiences
17:41because you're so tied into that circle of trust
17:44that you so-call friends on your social media,
17:48which in a lot of cases, maybe they are actually even more friends
17:52than the ones that you have next to you.
17:54You know what I mean?
17:56It's giving yourself that time to have a five senses experience
18:01where you're not, oh, like you're traveling and you're here,
18:04but you're not really here.
18:06You're here, but you're there.
18:08So you're basically in the same spot every day
18:10for a lot of hours a day.
18:12And hey, I'm joining myself to this.
18:14I'm not saying, oh, I don't know.
18:16I do the same thing also because I work from my phone.
18:18And I think a lot of people do today, right?
18:21So it's tough, but it's not so difficult.
18:26Just do it.
18:27It's obvious that social media can be as highly effective
18:29in promoting ignorance as it can be enlightenment.
18:31Make sure that you're following people or things
18:34or videos that are bringing you laughter,
18:36that are bringing you joy, good vibrations.
18:39So I love animal channels on social media.
18:42They're my favorite ones.
18:44Creative stuff like things being built, that's great.
18:46People showing their creations, it's amazing to support them.
18:50The ingenious of people in the world, right?
18:53But yeah, stay away from any gossip
18:57or even conspiracy theorists, you guys.
19:00I've said some things that could be seen as conspiracies,
19:05but I don't make a whole channel about it.
19:08I think that when it's that strong,
19:11you've got to be around things that at least make you also
19:16have a motivation towards the future, right?
19:19So I feel like sometimes conspiracy theorists get the bad hang
19:24kind of that they're always telling you bad stuff,
19:27like the country's going to go to shit
19:29or there's going to be an invasion or we're all going to die.
19:33I don't know, whatever.
19:34But you know what I mean.
19:35It's okay to be a realist.
19:36Just don't let it be all the time.
19:38And it's okay to inform yourself, of course.
19:40And it's okay to have even theories or conspiracies.
19:43But don't let it be what your day is all about.
19:46So if you have news that are, like, shocking to you,
19:49don't let them hang on to you for the rest of the day, okay?
19:52Make sure they come and go where you're just, okay, interesting.
19:55And then you distract yourself with something beautiful,
19:57with something good, with something that brings a smile to your face.
20:01And that way you're balancing out.
20:02And if you have more than one experience than the other,
20:05then bravo, you've done it.
20:07You're at least generating positive energy in your life.
20:09And by that, of course, I don't mean, oh,
20:12if you're laughing on your phone all day,
20:13you're going to generate positive energy.
20:15No.
20:16Remember, real-life experiences, real-life people,
20:19don't be secluded and don't be taken into that world of virtualism
20:24because that's where we're going.
20:26I don't know if you guys are seeing this.
20:28We're going into a world where this is going to be our eyes, okay?
20:32We've seen it in a series like Black Mirror.
20:35I've always said that that series is just crazy how it shows
20:38what the future is going to be like.
20:40Maybe not 100%, but, you know, they're throwing it out there
20:42like a lot of ideas.
20:44But there's a movie that I don't remember the name,
20:47and it was basically people living in VR, like their jobs were in VR.
20:51So their work was like in this little place,
20:54and that's where they lived all day,
20:55and then at night they went to sleep in a little shoebox,
20:57meaning a really crappy place, and that was their life.
21:00So, yeah, it would make sense that if your mind is happier
21:05in a place where there's no problems,
21:07you're going to be a happier person, right,
21:09because what you tell your mind and what your mind is experiencing
21:12is everything.
21:13Don't forget your soul, okay?
21:16One thing is keeping your mind busy constantly.
21:19The other thing is not allowing your soul to also guide you
21:22towards situations or things that have to happen to you
21:25in order to grow spiritually.
21:27So it's that instinct inside of you
21:30that you're not going to be able to listen
21:32if you're constantly distracted, okay?
21:35So that's why we say at least an hour a day,
21:37just be in silence or be with some good music,
21:41music that doesn't have voices,
21:43music that is instrumental, okay?
21:46And just chill, okay?
21:48You don't have to do anything.
21:50Just at least be quiet.
21:52And yeah, then tell me about it.
21:55They say it's normal that the social network today
21:58is very efficient in promoting ignorance
22:00as well as wisdom.
22:02They say it shows lies as important,
22:07but also the truth is important.
22:11And they say that a lie goes around the world much faster
22:14while the truth stays there tying its shoes.
22:17What a reality you just said.
22:20It's impressive.
22:22It's impressive that bad things fly faster than good things.
22:27It's sad, I would tell you.
22:29I think that gives us a little bit to see
22:32what kind of world we're living in, right?
22:34I mean, look, we have the most important things,
22:38the things that give the most ratings,
22:40the things that give the most ratings
22:42because there are a lot more people interested in that,
22:45are usually situations or programs or videos,
22:49or yes, situations that are war-related
22:52or something tense because it makes us run out of adrenaline
22:55through the body, right?
22:57Those nervousness, disasters.
23:00If 20 people died, it's like,
23:02oh, did you see what happened?
23:04Two people died.
23:05Oh, well, two people died.
23:07Yes, human beings are dramatic, yes.
23:10They tell me that, oh, well,
23:12we're going to leave you without a little Spanish today.
23:16But, well, basically, it's...
23:18Guys, we're going to be back in English in one minute.
23:22Basically, I think that...
23:24Sorry, they distracted me.
23:26The social network says...
23:29I think the important thing is to understand
23:31that we're moving towards that future.
23:33We're moving towards the future
23:35and we're living in a virtual reality.
23:37And that's what I want you to realize before it happens.
23:40Because if we're moving towards that moment
23:42where we're all going to be with our phones in our eyes,
23:44living in another world that's not our physical one,
23:47obviously, everything you teach your mind will believe it.
23:50So, if it believes it,
23:52you're going to be much more comfortable and happy.
23:55You're going to have a happier life
23:57living in that virtual reality
23:59than living your real life
24:00because you're not satisfied with your real life.
24:02And there it is.
24:03What I'm saying is,
24:04don't distract your mind so much
24:06that you reach a point where you no longer listen to your soul.
24:10Because your soul is the one that perceives.
24:12Your soul is the one that guides you
24:14towards situations or people
24:16that are necessary for your life, to grow.
24:19So, if you're completely distracted all the time,
24:21mentally, in something,
24:23and you don't allow yourself to think,
24:26and you're getting stuck in that bubble
24:28in social networks with people
24:30who only think like you,
24:32you won't be able to grow either spiritually.
24:35So, the world we're going to
24:38is where people are more zombies than they are today.
24:41And something my meditators said two or three weeks ago,
24:44or more, sorry, more like three months ago,
24:46is that it's incredible that people today
24:48are happier being mediocre
24:50than really looking for and acquiring tools
24:53to improve as a human being.
24:55It's like they're not interested.
24:57They don't want problems.
24:58They don't want to be the problem
25:00because it's very difficult.
25:02But everything is going to change, right?
25:04So, well, it's going to be a few more years of mediocrity.
25:07And the world shows it to you,
25:09and what's popular today,
25:11what wins the most Grammys,
25:12what wins the most awards,
25:14are ridiculous things.
25:16And music, for example,
25:17that talks about horrible things,
25:19ugly things, promiscuity,
25:22I don't know, parties, drugs.
25:24Nobody talks about love.
25:25I don't see a song that wins the Grammy
25:27that talks about love.
25:29So, what's sold today,
25:32what's being sold the most,
25:34look at the world,
25:35which is pornography, basically,
25:37that's where it reveals
25:38how the human mind is today
25:40and why things are the way they are.
26:00Distrust and division.
26:04Yes and no,
26:05because I think that you have the power to decide that.
26:09You can have, you know,
26:10you could be in a town full of neighbors
26:12where everybody thinks differently, right,
26:14and fight with everybody,
26:15or just learn to understand everybody,
26:18or even not understand,
26:19but learn to cope with everybody's point of view,
26:21accept it, but not take it as your own
26:24and not be influenced by somebody else's opinion.
26:26So, I think that that's the most difficult thing
26:28to reach in today's world,
26:30is not caring about what other people think about you.
26:34I posted something on Twitter,
26:35I think it was yesterday,
26:38and it was a quote that just kind of resonated,
26:41and like I said, yes,
26:42I'm very active in social media,
26:44but I do, you know,
26:45I do give myself a good amount of time
26:47throughout the day of just relaxing.
26:51Let me see if I can see it.
26:52And I said,
26:53if you're bothered by what I do or what I say,
26:55then the problem is yours, not mine.
26:57I missed an S there.
26:58Never allow others to have the power over your emotions.
27:01This means you have no control over your own energy.
27:04When you get there, you will understand,
27:05but probably not before,
27:06and even then, you're going to be struggling
27:08to keep that, you know, alive.
27:10So, yeah, we're living in a world
27:13where we are so obsessed with the popularity
27:17and the likes.
27:19Obviously, it gives us a dopamine feed.
27:22It's like we're obsessed,
27:23we're addicted to social media, okay?
27:25So, every time you get a like,
27:27and the more, the more that there is,
27:29the better you feel about yourself.
27:30So, in a way, it's good because you're confident,
27:33but in another way,
27:34it's making you dependent on that.
27:38And there are so many kids out there
27:40that have that obsession or that need,
27:47I guess we could say,
27:48but that's not the word, addiction,
27:49that have that addiction.
27:50It's the same thing as you were to tell me
27:51that you're addicted to, you know,
27:53drugs or alcohol because it's as bad.
27:58I don't even know if worse
28:00because even in your health is bad.
28:02All the time you're looking,
28:03I mean, we're all going to end up blind
28:05at some point, you guys.
28:06Anyway, so I think that if we can get
28:10to that point where we can use this
28:12for our benefit,
28:13and I think it's great that social media
28:15has come out with the options
28:16to put yourself like an hour limitation
28:19where you can do this in your settings
28:21and you just put like one hour,
28:23send me an alarm that I've been
28:24on the phone for one hour
28:25or something like that.
28:26Use it because sometimes
28:27you don't even realize.
28:28I download a TikTok on Enrique's phone
28:30because we opened a TikTok
28:31for the J Lives,
28:32and he's now on TikTok
28:35like a lot of times a day.
28:36Before it was WhatsApp,
28:37now it's TikTok,
28:38and I'm like, what did I do?
28:39I'm like, don't fall into that.
28:41It's a trap.
28:43But it's scary.
28:44It's really, really scary
28:45that we're going there.
28:46So is it going to make it impossible
28:48for us to ever understand
28:50anything at all?
28:51I think it's making it more difficult,
28:54but I think you just have to fall
28:56into the right hands in social media.
28:58Right now you're watching Jenny Live.
