00:00The death of a board member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan and president of Bulacan Chapter of the Association of Capitans of Barangay sa Kahabaan ng Service Road ng Barangay Ligas,

00:14Malolos, Bulacan. Ramil Capistrano is dead on the spot. His driver, Shedrick Toribio Suarez, is also dead. Fortunately, his two female staff members are safe.

00:26In the CCTV footage, two black cars are seen passing by, followed by another SUV. Later on, the following cars will be seen to stop.

00:38Capistrano's car is being shot at by bullets.

00:42From the CCTV footage, we can also see the slapping that was caused by the gunshot. It was only after the victim's work that the crime happened.

00:53In the initial investigation, it was revealed that the victim's car has a plate number CBZ6532 on the back of Barangay Ligas when a man approached and the car was shot at by bullets by Capistrano.

01:08Police Regional Office 3, Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Red Maranan immediately ordered the creation of a Special Investigation Task Group or SITG to investigate the case.

01:20According to Maranan, they are looking at all angles to find out the motive of the crime and to identify the suspects in the crime.

01:29This includes his work, business and politics. Maranan also reached out to the family of the victims and encouraged the public to provide any information that can help the case.

01:42Capistrano is in his third term as barangay captain of Barangay Kaingin San Rafael Bulacan. He is in his second term as ABC president.

01:53Based on their investigation, they are looking at more than one suspect. Like what I said, without revealing too much so that their ongoing follow-up investigation cannot be jeopardized,

02:07they are pursuing a very good lead right now. They are confident, to say the least, that they can identify the people behind this murder.

02:20It has not yet been considered as an election-related incident because the election period has not yet started.

02:27One incident is a parameter so that it can be included in election-related incidents because we are not yet in the election period.

02:36The election period will start on January 12. That is one of the parameters before an incident can be categorized as election-related incidents.

02:47Meanwhile, the League of Barangays in the Philippines condemned the violent action of Capistrano and called on the authorities to ensure a swift arrest of the suspects

02:58so that justice can be given for the two victims.
