The season for flu jabs is here and, with a significant reduction in the amount of people who took up the offer last year, we went out into Manchester to ask people on the street if they would get them this time around.

00:00Hi I'm Theo and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking people about their flu jabs.
00:04Now that's because last year saw a significant downfall in the amount of people who were willing
00:08to take their flu vaccinations and we want to know why. So I'm out today asking people if they've
00:13had them already this year, if they plan to have them, what would put them off and what would
00:17encourage them to get one. She doesn't want them because she's been beginning not to trust them if
00:22you know what I mean but I just can't be bothered anymore. I've never really heard about getting
00:26flu jabs kind of at this age. I kind of always thought it was for older generations so I've
00:32never had anyone apart from like Covid. I don't think it is at the moment. I've had them before
00:37like and the actual flu jab, I mean the chances of catching flu now, it's quite rare really.
00:45I think if it was, if I went to my GP and they mentioned, oh did you know you're eligible for
00:50a flu vaccine, I'd definitely get one. I like vaccines and I like to stay healthy I suppose.
00:56Yeah me too, I get ill quite easily so I'm quite good.
