00:00May 2, the local government in Davao City ordered the passing of a new guideline
00:09in accordance with the proposed closed-circuit television and CCTV ordinance
00:14that is now effective.
00:16The security of the Davao City establishments should be guaranteed.
00:20Criminals and incident responders should be alerted to the authorities
00:25upon reporting to the Davao City Public Safety and Security Office or PSSO
00:29who have not yet been arrested.
00:32In accordance with the lack of personnel to conduct inspections
00:36in the existing establishments in the city,
00:38the PSSO and the Business Bureau issued a weekly report yesterday
00:46which was approved on November 21, 2023
00:50by the 20th Davao City Council
00:52in its third and final reading of the amended CCTV ordinance in Davao City.
00:58The ordinance also includes the passing of CCTV cameras
01:03for the security of entrances, exits, and transaction areas in the establishments.
01:10Just imagine, if the business establishments were to increase,
01:14the ordinance would be changed and the hiring process would be changed.
01:17Officials from the Department of Migrant Workers, DMW-11,
01:23and the Southern Philippines Medical Center, SPMC,
01:26signed a Memorandum of Agreement
01:28to provide free medical services to overseas Filipino workers with OFWs.
01:35In addition to the Social and Psychosocial Dimension of Support,
01:39the DMW-11 has a full Cycle National Reintegration Program for OFWs
01:46that includes medical consultations, diagnostic tests, treatment, and hospitalization
01:54as well as specialized care including occupational health screenings,
01:59mental health support, and rehabilitation services,
02:03as well as health education, nutrition, sanitation, and lifestyle management.
02:08OFWs will also be able to avail free services
02:12to the DMW-11s who have returned to their homelands.
02:17A program where we will not only take care of them financially,
02:20but we will make sure that the dimensions of support are available,
02:24specifically our psychosocial and social support.
