00:00The Manila Economic and Cultural Office of MECO continues to monitor the situation of our fellow Filipinos in Taiwan
00:07following the entry of a typhoon in the country.
00:10According to MECO Chairperson Shelloy Garafil,
00:13there are still no Filipinos involved in the incident despite the evacuation and panic buying in the country.
00:19At present, MECO is helping migrant workers, officers in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung in possible emergencies.
00:29The Filipinos in Taiwan are also advised to maintain coordination with MECO
00:35in case there is a need for emergency and security assistance.
