00:00The health department reminded the public to clean up the water that was collected by the following typhoons.

00:06The agency warned that it will affect the crops with dengue.

00:16The Department of Health is worried about the possible outbreak of dengue cases

00:21because of the following typhoons entering the Philippines.

00:25They have collected a lot of water that could be used by the crops that carry dengue virus.

00:31According to the latest D.O.H. data,

00:33the number of dengue cases in the country decreased by 17%

00:38from October 20 to November 2 of this year,

00:41compared to October 6 to October 19.

00:44The number of dengue cases in the country has reached more than 340,000 this year.

00:50This is more than 80% higher than last year.

00:54More than 800 individuals have been infected this year

00:58with a case fatality rate of 0.26%,

01:01which is lower than last year.

01:04The agency also emphasized that the continuous lowering of the CFR

01:09is also the cause of faster screening, testing, and proper medication.

01:13The public health department encouraged the public to maintain a clean environment,

01:18to look for and dry the water that could be used by the crops.

01:26to be proactive in fighting dengue.
