Sono le parole di Flavio Ferretti, presidente di Ibc - associazione Industrie beni di consumo, a margine del primo di una serie di seminari dedicati alle sfide di piccole e medie imprese davanti a digitalizzazione ed efficienza logistica. Gli incontri sono organizzati da Ibc con il patrocinio di Assolombarda, in collaborazione con GS1 Italy e Deloitte.

00:00We have seen inflation data that are lower, but very low, so in this case, as is often said, there is also positive inflation.
00:16In this context, we are trying to find ways that our companies can be able to give back competitiveness.
00:25We know that this happens through digitalization processes, through logistical efficiency improvements,
00:32and so we are trying to work in this direction, also because our associative base is made up of a very large number of small companies.
00:43Keep in mind that of the 35,000 companies associated with IBC, about 20,000 make less than 1 million invoices per year.
00:51It is clear that in these cases, with dimensions of this nature, efficiency becomes absolutely essential.
00:58The objectives are precisely to try to give tools to small and medium-sized enterprises.
01:03This is because, normally, in companies of smaller size, skills, time and evaluation in these cases are limited,
01:12limited precisely by time and skills.
01:15Often there is an intention of the companies to try to invest in certain topics, but then there is a lack of time and skills.
01:29The other factor is that of investments, because clearly the companies imagine large investments to try to obtain that kind of efficiency.
01:40In reality, perhaps this is not so true, because there are already tools for digitalization and modernization of the entire logistics apparatus,
01:53which can be easily put at their disposal.
01:57These meetings have precisely the objective of giving these tools, this information, to companies that do not have it,
02:05to help them find solutions that they can implement the next day.
02:10This is the primary objective we set for ourselves.
02:13It will not be just this, we will do more.
02:15We also plan to hold a meeting like this in Verona and Bologna,
02:20because the intention we have is to get closer to the geographies of our associates,
02:26and not always wait for the associate to come and find us in Milan.
02:30This is a modality that should allow them to steal little time from their activities and still obtain this kind of result.
