00:00The Mets were down three to nothing going to the eighth inning.
00:06Scott, you saw what happened.
00:08Six runs plated and Nimmo the blast above the Chophouse for the final two runs of that
00:15onslaught and now they're up three with six outs to go and if they get those said six
00:22outs they're in the playoffs no matter what.
00:26They are and that will eliminate the Diamondbacks or come close to it but the winner in all
00:35this is San Diego because either Atlanta or the Mets will go play in San Diego and here's
00:41the thing, Scott.
00:42If Atlanta would have won the first game then they would go play in San Diego opening tomorrow
00:48and most importantly they wouldn't have had to burn Chris Sale in the second game of this
00:53doubleheader.
00:54If the Mets hold on to this lead as we speak now, Chris Sale's got to pitch game two for
00:59Atlanta and the Padres, meanwhile, are back in San Diego.
01:03They'll have a workout later today and they're going to just be like, yeah, just keep playing
01:08Mets and Braves, burn all your pitching, especially burn Chris Sale in game two of this doubleheader
01:14because had Atlanta held this 3-0 lead or if they can come back and win then they would
01:20hold Chris Sale out for the wild card game against the Padres tomorrow.
01:25But as of right now, it looks like the Padres are going to be able to avoid Chris Sale so
01:28things keep breaking right for the Padres.
01:31So with that game, you're telling me that if the Padres were to play the Braves tomorrow
01:39it'd be tomorrow that game won and the Braves would have to fly out there tonight and play
01:44tomorrow at Petco?
01:46Yeah, so the Braves will have to play the doubleheader in Atlanta today.
01:50The way it looks right now, burn all Chris Sale as well as other pitchers, then fly tonight
01:56to Petco and play at 8.38 Eastern first pitch tomorrow night.
