Mets Battling Braves and Diamondbacks for Playoff Spot

00:08Diamondbacks are tied for the second and the third wildcard
00:11spot. The Braves are the only other team left that can still
00:15get in everyone else has been eliminated. They are two back of
00:18the Braves and the D backs. Padres are three up on all of
00:21those teams. Mets are in Atlanta starting tomorrow. Three game
00:27series. If the Mets win two of those games, Scotty, they will
00:30clinch a playoff spot and be done with it.
00:33Well, you know, they are playing the best baseball I think of
00:39anybody in in the whole league, and they have been winning with
00:43regularity. I mean, every night, they lose a game. It's a bigger
00:47story than if they win. So I think that I want to see them in
00:52the playoffs. I'm not a Met fan. But I want the best teams
00:56playing their best baseball to be in the playoffs. I'm not
00:59interested in now I like Kansas City. I like Bobby Witt. I like
01:03Salvi, whatever. But when you've lost seven in a row, and you're
01:07passing gas down the stretch, you know, the old saying the
01:13horse cables before the race, he might be good to go. I don't
01:16know if I buy that. Okay, the you know, Royals are sputtering
01:21down at the end here. You look at that side. And then you look
01:26on the other side. If the if the Braves lose to the Mets, they're
01:32done. But I can see the Mets going down there and losing all
01:36three, even though they're hot. Everyone famous last words out
01:40of Mets are on fire. They've won every 90% of their games the
01:43last two months, they're gonna clean up on the Braves. Don't go
01:46get swept. I mean, baseball is a funny game. Just when you think
01:49you got it all figured out you get beat three in a row and
01:52you're carrying your bat into the clubhouse after the game,
01:55all in the dugout all depressed. You know, you don't know what
01:59hit you. So I think it's just a gigantic series. And I think the
02:05Padres and the Diamondbacks are getting in. And I want to see
02:09the Mets over the Braves. I've had enough, frankly, of the
02:13Braves being in the playoffs every year for the last 30
02:16years. I want to see the Mets do it because I think they're an
02:19exciting team that can get lit. Now listen, let's just be
02:25honest. No one down in Atlanta is going to like when I say
02:27this. But I live there many times. You are not as rowdy as
02:31New York Mets fans. Okay. The baseball crowds in New York and
02:36the Bronx and in Queens. We're on another level than you. You
02:40don't want to admit it because you think you got it all
02:42figured out down there. Let me tell you something. I live
02:46there. I live here. You can't hold a candle to this place. Now
02:50I know the Braves own the Mets through the years at Shea and
02:53Chipper Jones owned them. I get all that. But I want to see
02:58Citi Field rocking in October. I want to see that. I want to see
03:03the best teams in baseball in the playoffs. And I frankly do
03:07not believe the Braves are one of the best teams in baseball.
