00:00Another team that needed to build off momentum, you've got the Fighting Irish
00:06that put up a fight pulling off a 31-24 victory over Louisville. Louisville's one
00:10of those teams you cannot discount whatsoever, but Notre Dame was getting
00:16off to slow starts the past two weeks and that was a point of emphasis for
00:19this team and they took that not only personally, but they made sure to execute
00:22on that putting up 21 points in the first quarter alone. We've seen that in a
00:25handful of games today actually where there's 21 plus points in one
00:29particular quarter. Fighting Irish really came out with the fight. Riley
00:33Leonard, a little bit more up there with the numbers, 163 passing yards, two
00:37tutties, 52 rushing yards, just continuing to stack on both elements.
00:41What did you see in this matchup? Yeah, it was unfortunately, it came down to the
00:46turnovers there for the Cardinals. For Louisville, they weren't good enough on
00:49that side of the ball. Ball security, it wasn't up to scratch there. So with those
00:52turnovers, it led to a couple of opportunities for a pretty stagnant
00:56offense in the fighting Irish. We saw after the halftime break, no side wanted
01:01to sort of go downfield and take this one from the opposition. It was 15 going
01:05against 16, so it was expected to be very close. Ultimately, Notre Dame prevailed 31
01:10to 24 and no surprises who were the standouts. Riley Leonard, he throws the
01:16two touchdown passes, he ran for another and that was enough to get it done. So
01:21Notre Dame, they now move to a 4-1 record for the Cardinals. They sit at 3-1
01:25on one in conference play. In terms of what we saw from that number prior to
01:29kickoff, I believe it was right around six and a half, so the Cub is just gonna
01:34come in there by half a point and that total being at 45 and a half. We saw
01:38plenty of points. So I feel like the common theme moving through Saturday
01:42slate here in week five, it was trying to fend off the late rallies, but Notre Dame,
01:47they fought strong enough to hold on and get it done.
