00:00In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
00:09All praise is due to Allah, Who has sent down to His servant the Book, and has not made it crooked,
00:21to warn of a severe punishment from Him, and to give good news to the believers who do righteous deeds, that they will have a good reward,
00:43in which they will remain forever, and to warn those who say,
00:50Allah has taken a son. They have no knowledge of it, nor do their fathers.
01:01It is a great word that comes out of their mouths. They say nothing but a lie.
01:11So perhaps you will cause yourself to weep over their traces if they do not believe in this hadith, alas!
01:24Indeed, We have made what is on the earth an adornment for it, that We may test them as to which of them is best in deed.
01:35And indeed, We will make what is on it a steep ascent.
01:43Or do you think that the companions of the cave and the rock were of Our signs in wonder?
01:54When the young men turned to the cave and said,
01:59Our Lord, give us from Yourself mercy, and make easy for us from our affair a right course.
02:10So We struck upon their ears in the cave for a number of years.
02:18Then We resurrected them that We might know which of the two parties was best in that which they remained for a long time.
02:30We relate to you their story in truth. Indeed, they are young men who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.
02:43And We struck upon their hearts when they stood up and said,
02:49Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We will not invoke other than Him a deity.
03:04Indeed, We said, when they stood up.
03:10These are a people who have taken besides Him gods.
03:19Why do they not come to them with clear proof?
03:27So who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah?
03:34And when you have withdrawn from them and they worship none but Allah, then go to the cave.
03:48Your Lord will spread for you from His mercy and make easy for you from your affair a right course.
04:02And you will see the sun, when it rises, move away from their cave to the right,
04:10and when it sets, you will cast them out to the left, and they will be in a void from it.
04:19That is from the signs of Allah.
04:23Whom Allah guides, he is the guided.
04:28And whosoever He leads astray, you will not find for him a guiding ally.
04:37And you will think of them as wakes while they are sleepers.
04:43And We will turn them to the right and to the left.
04:49And their dog will stretch out its arms in the middle.
04:56If you had looked at them, you would have turned away from them, and you would have been filled with fear.
05:07And thus did We raise them that they might ask one another.
05:15A speaker among them will say,
05:20How long have you stayed?
05:22They will say, We stayed a day or part of a day.
05:27They will say, Your Lord knows best how long you stayed,
05:32so send one of you with this paper to the city,
05:43and let him see which is the purest food,
05:51and let him bring you provision from it, and let him be kind, and let him not make you aware of anyone.
06:07Indeed, if they come out against you, they will stone you or return you to their religion.
06:18And you will not succeed, then, ever.
06:26And thus did We make it difficult for them that they might know that the promise of Allah is true
06:37and that the Hour is not to be feared therein.
06:43When they disputed among themselves over their affair, they said,
06:48Build upon them a building.
06:52Their Lord is most knowing of them.
06:55Those who were victorious over their affair said,
07:00We will surely take upon them a masjid.
07:13They will say, Three, the fourth of them is their dog,
07:18and they will say, Five, the sixth of them is their dog,
07:24and they will say, Seven, the eighth of them is their dog.
07:33Say, My Lord is most knowing of their number.
07:38He knows them not, except a little.
07:42So do not dispute among them except openly.
07:51And do not seek in them any of them.
07:56And do not say of anything,
08:00Indeed, I will do that tomorrow,
08:06Except that Allah wills.
08:14And remember your Lord when you forget.
08:17And say, It may be that he will guide me to my Lord,
08:22that he may bring me nearer to that which is right.
08:26And they stayed in their cave three hundred years,
08:32and increased it nine.
08:35Say, Allah is most knowing of what they stayed.
08:39To Him is the unseen of the heavens and the earth.
08:43Observe with it and listen.
08:46They have no protector other than Him,
08:52and no partner in His judgment.
08:57And recite what has been revealed to you from the Book of your Lord.
09:05There is no substitute for His words.
09:09And you will not find besides Him any partner.
09:17And be patient with those who call upon their Lord
09:24in the morning and in the evening,
09:27desiring His Countenance.
09:29And do not turn your gaze away from them.
09:33You desire the adornment of the life of this world.
09:37And do not obey the one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance
09:44and whose desire has been pursued, and whose affair has been divided.
09:52And say, The truth is from your Lord.
09:56So whoever wills, let him believe,
10:01and whoever wills, let him disbelieve.
10:06Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a Fire,
10:13encircling them in its surroundings.
10:17And if they seek to escape, they will be drowned in water like oil,
10:25burning their faces.
10:28Evil is that which they see, and evil is that which they hear.
10:35Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds,
10:41indeed, We do not waste the reward of one who does a good deed.
10:47Those will have Gardens of Eternity,
10:52under which rivers flow.
10:57They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold
11:03and they will be wearing green garments of silk
11:16and brocade,
11:18reclining therein on couches.
11:26Excellent is the reward, and excellent is the reward.
11:33And set forth for them the example of two men.
11:37We made for one of them two gardens of grapes
11:44and surrounded them with date palms
11:51and made between them a field.
11:56Both of the gardens provided for their food
12:01and did not harm anything thereof,
12:05and We caused a river to flow through them.
12:12And he had a fruit,
12:15and he said to his companion, while he was speaking to him,
12:24I am more perfect than you and more powerful than you.
12:31And he entered his garden, and he was unjust to himself.
12:38He said, I do not think that this will ever perish,
12:48and I do not think that the Hour will ever come.
12:55And if I should be returned to my Lord,
12:59I would certainly find a better place to return to.
13:11His companion said to him, while he was speaking to him,
13:17Do you disbelieve in Him who created you from dust and then from a sperm
13:35and then made you into a man?
13:39But He is Allah, my Lord, and I do not associate anyone with my Lord.
13:50And why did you not, when you entered your garden, say,
13:57What Allah wills, there is no power except with Allah.
14:10If you see me, I am less than you in wealth and children.
14:18So it may be that my Lord will give me something better than your garden
14:27and will send upon it a rainstorm from the sky
14:35and it will become a rising cloud.
14:41Or its water will become deep, and you will not be able to return to it.
14:54And he will be enveloped in it, and he will turn his hands over what he has spent in it,
15:05while it is lying on its roofs.
15:12And he will say, I wish I had not associated anyone with my Lord.
15:20And there would not have been for him a party to help him other than Allah, nor would he have been able to help.
15:32Therein is loyalty to Allah, the truth.
15:38He is the best reward and the best reward.
15:46And present to them the example of the life of this world as if We had sent it down from the sky
16:05and the plants of the earth mixed with it, and it became dry, the winds blowing against it.
16:17And Allah is over all things competent.
16:28Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world, and good deeds are better with your Lord as a reward and better as a hope.
16:49And the Day We will move the mountains and you will see the earth standing out, and We will gather them together, and We will not leave any of them.
17:02And they will be presented before your Lord in rows, saying, You have come to Us as We created you the first time.
17:13But you claimed that We would not make for you an appointment.
17:20And the Book will be placed, and you will see the criminals in awe of what is in it, and they will say, O woe to us! What is this Book?
17:36And when We said to the angels, prostrate to Adam, they prostrated except Iblis.
18:05So they prostrated except Iblis. He was of the jinn, and he disobeyed the command of his Lord.
18:16Will you take him and his progeny as allies instead of Me, while they are to you an enemy?
18:28Evil is the exchange for the wrongdoers.
18:32I did not make them witness the creation of the heavens and the earth or the creation of themselves, and I would not take those who mislead as allies.
18:54And the Day will come when they will say, Call the partners of mine whom you claimed, but they called them, but they did not respond to them, and We placed between them a barrier.
19:13And the criminals will see the Fire, and they will think that they will fall into it, and they will not find from it any escape.
19:28And indeed We have expounded in this Qur'an for the people every kind of example, and man is ever, most of all, in dispute.
19:46And what prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and they asked forgiveness of their Lord except that the way of the former peoples should come to them, or the punishment should come to them readily.
20:10And We do not send messengers except as bearers of good tidings and warners.
20:18And those who disbelieve dispute about falsehood that they may take away with it the truth and take My signs, and I am not warned of mockery.
20:37And who is more wronged than one who is reminded of the signs of his Lord but turns away from them and forgets what his hands have sent forth? Indeed, We have placed upon their hearts a barrier that they may understand, and in their ears is deafness.
21:01And if you invite them to guidance, they will not be guided, then, ever. And your Lord is Forgiving, Possessor of Mercy. If He had seized them for what they earned, He would have hastened for them the punishment.
21:23But for them is an appointment which they will not find other than it. And those cities We destroyed when they were wrongdoers, and We made for their destruction an appointment.
21:53And when they reached the junction between the two seas, they forgot their fish, and he took his way in the sea.
22:14And when they had passed, he said to his servant, Give us our farewell. Indeed, we have received from our journey this reward.
22:41But Satan made me forget it, except that I remember it. And he took his way in the sea in wonder. He said, That is what we were asking for. So they returned to their footprints, narrating.
23:02So they found a servant of Our servants. We gave him mercy from Us, and We taught him from Ourself knowledge.
23:30He said, Indeed, you will not be able with me to be patient. And how can you be patient over that in which you have no knowledge? He said, You will find me, if Allah wills, patient. And I will not disobey you in any matter.
23:56He said, Then if you follow me, do not ask me for anything until I bring to you from it a reminder.
24:26He said, Did I not say, Indeed, you will not be able with me to be patient? He said, Do not take me for what I forgot, and do not make difficult for me my affair.
24:45He said, Did I not say, Indeed, you will not be able with me to be patient? He said, Do not take me for what I forgot, and do not make difficult for me my affair.
25:15He said, Do not take me for what I forgot, and do not make difficult for me my affair.
25:35Until, when he came to the people of a town, they asked for food for their people, but they refused to host them. So they found in it a wall that they wanted to break, so he built it. He said, If you willed, you would have taken a reward for it.
26:05He said, This is the separation between me and you. I will inform you of the interpretation of what you were not able to do patiently.
26:35And as for the boy, his parents were believers, so we feared that he would incite them to rebellion and disbelief.
26:57So we wanted to replace them with their Lord, better than him in purity and nearer to mercy.
27:09And as for the wall, it was for two orphan boys in the city, and under it was a treasure for them, and their father was righteous.
27:27So your Lord wanted to reach them and extract their treasure as mercy from your Lord, and I did not do it by my command.
27:51That is the interpretation of what you were not able to do patiently.
27:59And they ask you about Dhul-Qarnayn. Say, I will recite to you from him a reminder.
28:09Indeed, We have established for him in the land, and We have given him of everything a way, so he followed a way.
28:25Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it setting in a boiling spring, and he found with it a people.
28:40We said, O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish, or you take in them good.
28:53He said, as for the wrongdoer, we will punish him, then he will be returned to his Lord, and He will punish him a terrible punishment.
29:12And as for he who believes and does righteousness, for him is the reward of good, and We will say to him of Our command, easily.
29:27Then he followed a way.
29:32Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it rising on a people whom We had not made a cover for them besides it.
29:46Thus it was, and We seized him with what he had of knowledge.
29:52Then he followed a way.
29:57Until, when he reached between the two mountains, he found besides them a people who could hardly understand a word.
30:16They said, O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Ya'juj and Ma'juj are corrupters in the land, so shall we make for you an expense that you make between us and them a barrier?
30:39He said, What my Lord has established for me is better, so help me with strength, I will make between you and them a barrier.
30:58They said, Give me pieces of iron.
31:03Until, when he had balanced between the two sides, he said, Blow.
31:12Until, when he had made it a fire, he said, Give me, I will pour over it a drop.
31:25So they could not remove it, nor could they pierce it.
31:37He said, This is a mercy from my Lord.
31:42So when the promise of my Lord came, He made it a barrier, and the promise of my Lord was true.
31:57And We left some of them that Day to waver among themselves, and the Horn was blown, and We gathered them together.
32:10And We presented Hell, that Day, to the disbelievers as a display.
32:19Those whose eyes were covered from My remembrance, and they could not hear.
32:35Did those who disbelieved think that they would take My servants as allies besides Me?
32:49Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a descent.
33:00Say, Shall We inform you of the losers in deeds?
33:09Those whose effort has been lost in the life of this world, and they think that they are doing good.
33:25Those are the ones who disbelieved in the signs of their Lord and in meeting Him.
33:36So their deeds were in vain, and We will not give them a weight on the Day of Resurrection.
33:44That is their recompense, Hell, because they disbelieved and took My signs and My messengers as a mockery.
34:04Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a descent.
34:22They will abide therein. They will not desire from it any change.
34:29Say, If the sea were an extension of the words of my Lord, the sea would surely overflow before the words of my Lord would overflow, even if We brought with it the like of it.
34:55Say, I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is one God.
35:13So whoever hopes to meet his Lord, let him do righteous deeds, and let him not associate anyone with the worship of his Lord.
