00:00Hey, um, I know you're on these three games tonight in college football.
00:07I think they're all really decent games.
00:11You know what?
00:12Friday nights have really started to, um, to light up with these games.
00:16We used to, you know, have a Fresno state game, you know, on Friday nights, generally
00:21in the old days.
00:22Now we've got big time, big time football on Friday nights and other conferences are
00:26stepping up.
00:27You know, teams play on Friday nights and some really interesting storylines coming
00:32into tonight.
00:33Listen, Syracuse are playing good football, Scott, but I think the point spread might
00:37be a little ambitious.
00:38We've seen, we've seen these, um, these PAC 12 teams now in new conferences that people
00:45expected not to be very good.
00:47I've actually been pretty competitive Cal being amongst them, uh, playing at FSU, uh,
00:52tomorrow, Scott.
00:53So I think Stanford will be able to score.
00:55Look at Syracuse.
00:56They gave up 22 points, uh, to Ohio, the, uh, 28 to Georgia tech was a close game.
01:03I liked the over tonight.
01:04I'm I'm taking Stanford plus the points, Scott, but if we're looking for the best bet of this
01:08game, if someone just wants to play like one side of this thing, I would say the over,
01:13I would expect there to be points inside that carrier dome tonight, Scott McCord's already
01:17got 11 touchdown passes, uh, on, you know, McCord's doing a great job.
01:21And, um, and as I stated, Syracuse's defense is just sort of average, right?
01:28They're going to give up 20 plus points tonight, which I think gives Stanford a shot to cover
01:31the spread guys.
01:32I think the spread is just a little too high, Scott.
01:35What about, uh, Illinois going to Lincoln against Dominic Grayola?
01:40It's the same thing.
01:41Eight and a half.
01:42Illinois is the dog.
01:43Yeah, this one, I think the spread will continue to climb through the day.
01:47I wouldn't be surprised if we get a nine in this game.
01:50If you're like Nebraska, you miss the best number right now because the public is going
01:54to jump in on Nebraska all day long.
01:56This is Illinois first road game.
01:58Um, but listen, yeah, man, Memorial stadium, that place is lit.
02:03That place is crazy.
02:04Uh, when, when Nebraska are good, it's easy to forget because they haven't been good,
02:07uh, in a while, but that is a very difficult stadium to play in Illinois.
02:13This is their first road game of the year.
02:14I'm always a little bit weary, Scott, when college teams go on the road for the first
02:18time, but without being stated.
02:20I think the number is just a little bit too high.
02:22Rayola is really good and he gets a lot of attention, but it's not like this Nebraska
02:28offense is totally explosive or anything.
02:30They run the ball 53% of the time.
02:33They play a very slow pace.
02:35Both these teams are like ranked 112th and 115th in the country, Scott, as far as pace
02:40of play is concerned, both teams want to run the ball.
02:43Both teams want to let the play clock, uh, wind down before they snap the ball.
02:47That's why the total is so light.
02:49You know, it's sort of like when you get a track meet style game, when you know teams
02:53are going to trade points, I always like to get the underdog.
02:56If I'm getting a touchdown with a team and a game that I know they're going to trade
02:59points all night and whoever has the ball last wins, it's sort of the same thing here,
03:03Scott, in the, in the opposite way.
03:06When there's a football game that we know the total is so low in that I just stated,
03:10we're talking about 112th and 115th as far as tempo of play is concerned, they don't
03:16get that many plays off, right?
03:18So therefore Nebraska really going to pull away from Illinois tonight, Scott, I'm going
03:23to take Illinois plus the points.
