00:00P1.7 million pesos in the amount of ecstasy was paid by the Pideya, Laguna, and Binan Police

00:06in Isinagawang, Baybas, a gas station in the barangay of San Francisco, Binan, Laguna.

00:11Last minute, the two suspects were selling illegal drugs.

00:14More than 1,000 ecstasy tablets were returned to them.

00:17The suspects are now in jail in the Pideya Regional Office 4A Detention Facility

00:22and are facing charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

00:26In Pasay City, more than P1 million pesos worth of illegal drugs were sold in their parcel.

00:33Some of the dried leaves were confiscated in their kush.

00:36Their disposable vape containing marijuana oil was also recovered.

00:42The Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act was passed by President Bongbong Marcos.

00:46It is aimed at governing the unbearable problem of smuggling in the country.

00:51Aside from the great loss of the country's economy due to the unceasing smuggling of products,

00:56the shortage of farmers and the high prices of goods are also increasing.

01:01The Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act was passed in 2016,

01:08Under this law, smuggling, hoarding, profiteering, and cartel operations

01:14involving agricultural and fishery products will now be classified as economic sabotage,

01:22a non-bailable offense punishable by life imprisonment,

01:25and fines up to five times the value of the goods involved.
