00:00Meralko will implement an additional charge this August.

00:04According to Meralko, the additional charge is P3 per kilowatt hour.

00:08This means that the additional charge is P7 for those consuming 200 kilowatt hours per month

00:14due to the increase in the transmission charge of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines

00:18after buying a reserve of electricity.

00:21There are still expected additional charges for the coming months

00:24due to the non-completed NGCP transmission charges

00:28and the increase in the price of electricity from some plants purchased by Meralko.

00:32If there is an increase in the price of electricity, the price of oil will drop starting tomorrow.

00:37The rollback on gas is P2.45 per liter, P1.90 on diesel, and P2.40 on kerosene.

00:45One of the reasons is the decrease in the amount of oil imported by China

00:49due to the slowdown of its economy.

00:53Pistons and crankshafts will have a stop on Wednesdays until Friday.

00:59Jeepney drivers from Metro Manila, Iloilo, Bacolod, Davao, Southern Tagalog, and Bicol

01:08In Metro Manila alone, 35,000 jeepney drivers and operators are expected to join.
