00:00The Armed Forces of the Philippines believes that it is better for America's missile launcher to stay in the country,

00:09despite China's statement that it will cause chaos because it has the ability to reach the southern part of mainland China.

00:35It was brought to the Philippines during the U.S.-Philippine exercises in April and was not released by the Philippines.

00:42The remaining Typhoon launchers in Luzon and subsequent purchases of ships, airplanes, and other weapons of the Philippines were bought by China.

01:30But why is China in charge of maintaining the Typhoon missile launcher in the country?

01:36The launcher can carry cruise missiles up to 1,600 kilometers according to Reuters.

01:44If you look at the map, the eastern part of mainland China and any part of the West Philippine Sea is within its strike range.

01:52For AFP Chief General Romeo Bronner, it is better for the country to maintain the missile launcher here.

01:59If I were given the choice, I would like to have the Typhoons here in the Philippines forever.

02:11We mentioned our intention that if possible, the Typhoons should remain here in the Philippines.

02:20And how did the U.S. response?

02:22Well, nothing yet. We're still waiting for their response.
