00:00There wasn't really a treatment available, like a holistic treatment available for people
00:05that were maybe suffering menopause, menopausal symptoms, perimenopause, so we had linked
00:11up with the academy who had released the first ever menopause massage. It's been endorsed
00:18by CYBPTAC as well, which is like a governing body. They looked at a more holistic approach
00:24so the oils that would benefit anyone having those kind of symptoms and also how the treatment
00:31was conducted as well. So we work with marma points, which is like energy pathways within
00:37the body, and it just creates homeostasis for the body, so just rebalancing the body,
00:42so the specific marma points would be related to specific symptoms that people are going
00:47through. So the oils that we use in the treatment as well, we have an inhalation with geranium,
00:52which is really good for balancing any kind of hormones, which is again a big symptom
00:55for anyone going through the menopause. But it's really good all round for most people
00:59as well, so it doesn't mean that you couldn't have this treatment anyway. The oils that
01:04we use on the actual body during the treatment is infused with peppermint essential oil as
01:09well as lavender. Again, really good for anti-inflammatory and relaxation as well. People can suffer
01:15a lot of fatigue and things, which is really good to ensure that we're getting a good relaxing
01:20treatment and they can have a good night's sleep afterwards as well. It's quite a taboo
01:23subject as well, so a lot of people just suffer through it and don't want to actually seek
01:29any help or they don't think that there's anything particularly wrong with the symptoms.
01:34It's not talked about enough to educate people enough to be honest, but if you do end up
01:38going to the doctor, usually it's some sort of hormone replacement therapy that you put
01:42on. These things can have side effects to cancer, things like that are much more prone
01:48to cancer and other side effects that maybe don't agree with everyone. So it was just
01:53more looking at a safer, more holistic approach to be able to relieve these symptoms that
01:58aren't going to put anyone in any kind of danger or people that maybe just don't want
02:02to go through any sort of hormone replacement therapy.
