00:00Liverpool got back to winning ways in the Premier League at the weekend with a 3-0 win
00:04over Bournemouth at Anfield. There were plenty of star performances from across the board
00:08so let's break down some of the key talking points and some of those best performances.
00:13Bournemouth were fairly good in the game, they had the same amount of shots as Liverpool
00:17in total with 19, created two big chances to Liverpool's four and had an offside goal
00:22early in the game as well but Liverpool's quality going forward was the difference in
00:26this game and Luis Diaz was a prime example of that. He netted two quick first-half goals
00:32to give Liverpool that cushion early on and he had four shots on target, had a 94% pass
00:38success rate, completed three of his five dribbles and was just a bundle of energy and
00:44quality and he really has been brilliant this season on that left wing. Another standout
00:49performer for them was at the back with Ibrahim Kanate who was just sensational. There was
00:55one moment where he made two brilliant blocks in a row and he made six clearances in total,
01:01won all four of his aerial duels, had 125 touches and actually completed eight of his
01:0713 long balls as well so he has also been in incredible form this season and really
01:11contributed to Liverpool's very good start in general. We saw plenty of quality from
01:18Liverpool. Darwin Nunes with a fantastic left-footed strike which got him off the mark for the
01:24season. He has been on the periphery with Diogo Jota starting all of the games so far
01:29but his incredible strike with his left foot shows that he has that real quality and he
01:34may even get another chance in the week against West Ham in the Cup to carry on that form
01:40and it was a good sign for Liverpool that all of their attacks so far has found the
01:43net at the start of this season.
01:45There were strong performances across the board from the likes of Ryan Graham and Birch
01:49again who have carried on his strong early season form. Alexis McAlister next in with
01:53his partner again was just, as he always is, very good all round, keeps the ball ticking
01:59over and is a key player for Liverpool. Trent Alexander-Arnold got an assist which took
02:03him to 100 goal contributions in his career so far which is an incredible achievement
02:08at 25 years old for a right back so we can't underestimate how big an achievement that
02:13is from him but Keemaheen Kelleher in goal was absolutely sensational. Filling in for
02:20Alisson who had an injury sustained late last week, he prevented 1.53 goals in total and
02:28he made five saves in the box and he was just dazzling making seven saves in total. He saved
02:35one on the goal line which is just incredible display of reflexes and he proved that he
02:40is probably the best second keeper in the league and yet there have been rumours of
02:46him leaving but he does deserve to play first team football with the quality that we are
02:50seeing and for now he remains an incredible backup to Alisson and he proved once again
02:55just how important he is for Liverpool.
02:58The 2-0 draw between Manchester City and Arsenal meant that Liverpool are now just one point
03:03behind City, sat in second place in the Premier League and they feel confident heading into
03:08their game with Wolves at the weekend at Molineux where they are favourites to win
03:12that game against the team who are at the bottom of the Premier League right now and
03:17they do have the EFL Cup tie against West Ham United to look forward to on Wednesday
03:20but it is likely that we will see a largely rotated side with the likes of Votaro Endo
03:25coming in, Gerald Kwanzaa, Kelleher who will start again, Kostas Simakas will probably
03:30play and we might even see a full debut for Federico Chiesa who did make an appearance
03:38off the bench against Bournemouth but he did struggle to come into the game playing
03:43over 25 minutes but he will take time to gel and the game against West Ham will be a perfect
03:48chance for him to get those minutes under his belt but as for Liverpool it is another
03:53win, another confident win at Anfield and like I said sat second place in the Premier
03:58League.
03:59It is very positive right now, players are firing on all cylinders and they will be very
04:03confident heading into the weekend against Wolves.
