00:06And a wrestler has allegedly kidnapped their estranged son.

00:09I'm Oli Davis, and this is the WrestleTalk News.

00:17F4WOnline is reporting that the Mexican police have put out an Amber Alert, which is used

00:22for child abduction emergencies, for the 3-year-old son of independent luchadora Kyra.

00:27This is because the child's father, AAA wrestler MrZez Jr, is believed to have kidnapped

00:32them from hospital.

00:33MrZez Jr is reportedly estranged from his son, and allegedly hasn't visited him since

00:37he and Kyra split up two years ago.

00:39The child had been admitted to hospital for a blood transfusion.

00:43Kyra has posted an unmasked photo of MrZez to help police with the search.

00:47It's always awkward to go from stories like that into our usual wrestling nonsense, but

00:51here goes.

00:52Earlier this year, news broke that several WWE stars had been removed from the internal

00:57roster.

00:58Later reports followed up saying it was because those wrestlers' contracts were expiring,

01:01and the two sides weren't going to sign new deals.

01:04This turned out to be true, as a month later, MVP and Bobby Lashley officially left WWE

01:09when their contracts expired.

01:11They're currently free agents, and it's heavily speculated they'll reform their

01:15Hurt Business faction with the release last year Shelton Benjamin.

01:18But there was another name that disappeared from the internal roster back in June, that

01:22we never got any update on.

01:25Tamina!

01:26Tamina hasn't appeared on WWE TV since February 2023, and Fightful Select is now

01:31reporting she is no longer on the road for the company.

01:35Tamina hasn't just been with WWE for 14 years, though.

01:38She isn't just a former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, she's also legitimately related

01:44to the Bloodline Dynasty.

01:46Because seriously, who isn't?

01:47She's a cousin to Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sakoa and Jacob Fatu.

02:01When asked if Tamina could be joining the faction, being their first female member,

02:05Sean Ross Sapp noted it's always a possibility, but she is mostly done with WWE on a day to

02:11day basis.

02:12The Wrestling Observer have reported back in July that WWE weren't intending to offer

02:16Tamina a new contract, so either she hasn't officially left the company yet because there's

02:21still time remaining, or the Bloodline are using whatever backstage sway they have to

02:25keep her around.

02:26Ibu of WrestlePurists have previously reported that Triple H thinks Solo Sakoa is kind of

02:31bad, for instance.

02:33But because he's a member of The Family, Roman Reigns won't allow them to bury his

02:38cousin.

02:39And if I was Triple H, I'd be afraid of offending the Bloodline too.

02:42Because there's so many of them.

02:43Reno Anoa'i, the cousin of Roman and Rikishi, revealed he was in the building for last Friday's

02:48episode of SmackDown with his family, posting ANOA'I STRONG BLOODDROP EMOJI.

03:10Seth Rollins, meanwhile, can't even sit in the stands for an NFL game.

03:14Seth was written off WWE TV on the 5th August episode of Raw thanks to six consecutive tsunamis

03:19from Bronson Reed.

03:21This was to give Seth time away to recover from actual legitimate injuries.

03:24But he was healthy enough at the Indianapolis Colts vs Chicago Bears football game to take

03:29a bump.

03:30Sitting in the stands, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ty Hilton, I definitely know

03:34what I'm talking about here, suddenly threw Rollins over the stands onto the pitch.

03:38Don't worry, they were practically on the ground floor.

03:41This wasn't any kind of Darby Allin style bump.

03:43Seth was then escorted out of the arena by security, as Hit the Road Jack played on the

03:47loudspeakers.

03:48Football!

03:49But that's not the only wrestling football news from the weekend.

03:55Because if you think Brom Breaker is fast, Jesus baby Christ, his cousin and son of Scott

04:00Steiner Brock Reckensteiner scored an 85 yard touchdown with The Football, helping his Jacksonville

04:06State Gamecocks beat Southern Miss 44-7.

04:09The team coach then posted a photo of Brock posing in his dad's chainmail headdress

04:13with a World Heavyweight Championship replica around his waist.

04:16A member of the Steiner family, who is really fast and currently plays college level football

04:21his cousin Brom was also doing a football over the weekend, where he was in attendance

04:28for the Colorado Buffaloes vs Baylor Bears game, where he ran into another player turned

04:33wrestler who hits a spear… Goldberg.

04:38There's the bloodline.

04:39There's the Steiners with honorary uncle Bill Goldberg.

04:41But as the entrance theme goes, wrestling has more than one royal family.

04:46AEW star and brother of Cody, Dustin Rhodes, has announced he'll be launching his own

04:51wrestling promotion later this year, the Rhodes Wrestling Association, with their first show

04:56on the 21st November in Texas.

04:59This is potentially the next step on the Rhodes family's training school The Nightmare Factory

05:03that they run with QT Marshall.

05:05But what does it mean for Dustin's AEW future?

05:08Fightful have reported that Dustin's AEW contract is set to expire in the fall.

05:12Well, there's been speculation he could join his brother in WWE, because Triple H's

05:17real big creative vision is to have everyone related.

05:19But then Dustin won the ROH World Tag Team and Trios titles with various partners, and

05:24he has now posted…

05:25I love AEW.

05:27For 5 years I have been on the one last ride and I have loved it.

05:31This place is good for my soul.

05:33Like adrenaline in his soul.

05:35Dustin Rhodes for WWE confirmed.

05:37What's good for your pocket, however, is merch sales.

05:41While Roman and Cody are set to team with each other against their new blood enemies,

05:45their real battle will likely be how will they coexist.

05:49With Reigns now back and circling Cody's WWE Championship, they're frequently bickered

05:54over who the promotion's top star is.

05:56According to cold, hard financial data, it's currently Cody Rhodes, as Fightful is reporting

06:02that Fnatics, the company that runs WWE merchandise, has confirmed Cody is in their top 5 overall

06:09sales.

06:10That's not just for wrestlers, that's the top 5 sales for any athlete or personality,

06:15which is evidence for a genuine mainstream breakout star.

06:18Reportedly, Fnatics had previously projected that Cody would hit the top 10, so this is

06:23a major overachievement.

06:25No other wrestler is in the top 5.

06:28Events like Cody and Roman's cinematic showdown at Georgia Tech from Friday's SmackDown

06:32will just make them cooler, and now it's been revealed who the team was behind the

06:36shoot.

06:37PWInsider writes that Senior Director of Content and Development Jeremy Borash was on hand

06:41to produce the segment.

06:43Borash first learned his trade in TNA, where he was reportedly a big part of how the Broken

06:47Universe segments were filmed, and he's been part of Triple H's production team

06:50since late 2010's NXT.

06:53The site adds that Borash has become the person Triple H trusts the most to make on-location

06:57segments like this.

06:59Director of Character Development Rob Fee was also on location.

07:02Fee previously worked at Disney Television and Marvel Comics, and came into WWE in 2022

07:08after collaborating with Bray Wyatt on the White Rabbit marketing campaign, and was one

07:12of Triple H's first hires.

07:15And despite being currently off TV after being powerbombed through the announcers table back

07:18in June, Paul Heyman was also intricately involved with producing the segment, which

07:23had him personally direct the talent.

07:26Those are three great creative minds, all working together that weren't even on screen,

07:31given the trust and autonomy by Triple H to produce something special and unique.

07:35I know I sound like a broken record here, but I am so glad Vince McMahon is gone from

07:40this company for so many reasons, but specifically related to this story that very talented people

07:45can produce great moments of wrestling television without being creatively suffocated.

07:50It's a culture change that's felt up and down the card, as the other widely praised

07:54segment from Friday's episode was Chelsea Green's training montage in a garbage dump,

07:59building her dumpster match against Meechum.

08:01Fightful is reporting the segment got high praise within the company, and another one

08:04has been filmed for this Friday's episode.

08:06We'll have to wait longer for the debuts of the Lucha Bros in WWE, though.

08:10After reports late last week claimed the two had signed with the company, Fightful was

08:14reporting Fenix is still believed to be under contract with AEW, and that the transition

08:19to WWE won't be as smooth as expected.

08:23Fenix has missed a significant amount of time during his AEW deal due to injury, which could

08:28be added onto his contract length.

08:30Tony Khan hasn't opted to do this in the past, mostly letting talent go if they want

08:35to and he has no plans for them, but WWE hasn't reciprocated, often adding on time missed

08:40to contract lengths to delay wrestlers jumping ship to AEW.

08:44Perhaps Tony has decided no more Mr Nice Khan, and he'll extend Fenix's contract due to

08:49him being out injured.

08:51The Lucha Bros are still expected to end up in WWE, as Penta has been telling people throughout

08:55the Summer, despite what he's publicly posted, it's now a matter of when.

08:59It's much easier if you already have the talent under contract, like Sheamus, whose

09:03new WWE deal is reportedly five years long, and Nick Foley, who has signed a new legends

09:08deal with the company.

09:09This could've been potentially more pressing for WWE, as Foley had informal talks with

09:14MJF about doing one final match in AEW.

09:18But the biggest signing of all is the youngest men alive, the Outrunners, are officially

09:23All Elite.

09:26Which I kind of assume they were already under contract with AEW, but good for them anyway.

09:30Fightful writes that after the tag team's recent surge in popularity, with their merch

09:34sales cracking AEW's top 10, Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd, no relation to Turbo Jack

09:40or Jake there, have signed with AEW despite them not receiving the All Elite announcement

09:46Fightful reached out to them for comment, the Outrunners replied, I can neither confirm

09:50nor deny that we are old enough, too young, to sign or not sign.

09:54Apparently they will keep receiving a push on TV.
