00:10 Last night's Raw saw a fiery segment between Seth Rollins and CM Punk, where Rollins called

00:14 out Punk for saying WWE is his home and reinforced that WWE is not his home, it's his.

00:20 Which would make it even funnier if Seth leaves WWE in 2024.

00:25 Fightful Select is reporting that Seth Rollins' WWE contract is due to expire in June 2024,

00:30 about 6 months away, and interestingly there reportedly haven't been discussions yet

00:34 about a contract extension.

00:36 Now granted, Rollins is obviously well-liked backstage and due to his position on the card,

00:41 it would be unlikely that they wouldn't be able to agree to terms, a WWE source confirmed

00:45 as such with Fightful mentioning that Rollins would be made a priority when it comes to

00:49 making an offer for a contract extension.

00:51 As a little extra nugget of information to this story is that Seth's wife Becky Lynch

00:56 also has her contract expiring at the same time in June 2024.

01:01 Could the power couple be leaving WWE come next June?

01:04 No, probably not.

01:06 Having said that, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Jade Cargill are in WWE right now and Edge

01:10 became Adam Copeland when he jumped over to AEW, so anything's possible.

01:16 Imagine though.

01:17 On the subject of CM Punk, Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite shared that as of right now,

01:22 everything is positive backstage when it comes to CM Punk, with even people who dislike him

01:26 noting that he's been pleasant and relaxed.

01:28 Maybe Punk really has changed.

01:31 Or it could be something to do with that reported behaviour clause he's got.

01:34 Who knows.

01:35 Someone else who's often part of the "should he go to AEW" discussion whenever his contract

01:39 is in the news is Ricochet.

01:41 Oh god, Ospreay's in AEW now.

01:44 Oh he should totally do it.

01:45 Anyway, it seems that Ricochet might be a little frustrated with certain booking choices

01:49 surrounding him as of late.

01:51 The former Intercontinental Champ responded to a Twitter thread asking if people thought

01:55 Ricochet would ever be a world champ, where one user commented that they thought that

01:59 he needed a lot of work on the mic.

02:01 Ricochet responded by saying "I think you mean opportunity on the mic", indicating

02:06 of course that he feels he doesn't get enough time to show what he can do on the stick.

02:18 Elsewhere, there's been an update on Charlotte Flair following her nasty spill she took on

02:22 SmackDown last week in a match against Asuka.

02:25 The match itself was quickly wrapped up following this incident, and now it seems as if that

02:29 injury is both legitimate and serious.

02:32 PWInsider is reporting that Flair has returned to her home in Florida and has been taken

02:36 off the road until further notice.

02:38 The nature of her injury is still unclear, but WWE is reportedly moving quickly to determine

02:43 what's happened and how much time she'll be missing, which as of right now, is still

02:47 up in the air.

04:12 But for now, it's time for my review of Monday Night Raw - aka Punk's Big Decision

04:17 Day - episode of Monday Night Raw… in about 5 minutes.

04:21 The show opened with Jey Uso doing his usual shtick now that he can say yeet again, and

04:25 Drew McIntyre came out to give a big fake apology to Sami Zayn who he wrote off TV last

04:30 week.

04:31 Drew made a good point about how Jey hasn't apologised for costing him the title back

04:34 at Clash of the Castle, and then beat him in a very good match after he raked the eyes

04:38 and hit the Claymore.

04:39 There was also a great near-full when Jey kicked out of the Future Shock DDT, which

04:42 plays off the finish in their last match just before Survivor Series.

04:46 This took up around the first half hour of the show, and did a great job in getting Drew

04:51 McIntyre over as a remorseless killer.

04:55 He was awesome, and it was announced later on he's going to be getting a title shot

04:59 on the Day 1 edition of Monday Night Raw.

05:01 Drew was put over strong.

05:05 Jey on the other hand.

05:06 Now look, there's no denying that he's over.

05:09 Jey is over.

05:10 Yeet is over.

05:11 He's over.

05:12 But here's a fun fact for you.

05:14 Jey Uso hasn't won a singles match since August 4th when he beat Solo Sakawa on Smackdown.

05:19 I think he might need to get some wins before this main event name feels like it's a bit

05:24 of a rib.

05:25 The Judgment Day hung out in their Judgment Den and all stood in a row while they argued

05:29 about who the real leader of the group was.

05:31 And then we cut across to the Creed Brothers in Alpha Academy, standing in a row, to put

05:35 over that Ivy Nile will be in Maxine's corner for her match with Rhea Ripley.

05:39 And R-Truth showed up so he could also stand in a row.

05:42 This led to Maxine Dupree vs. Rhea Ripley which was short and also quite bad.

05:47 Maxine, two singles matches in, is not ready for this sort of spot and it exposed her lack

05:52 of in-ring work.

05:53 This wasn't a good wrestler pretending to be a bad wrestler, this was an untrained

05:57 wrestler not being able to get up for moves.

06:00 I've seen some claim that she was sandbagging but that would imply intense and I don't

06:04 think that's the case here.

06:05 I just think she had a bad night.

06:07 Rhea won by struggling to get up for the Riptide and locked in the Prism Trap for a tap out

06:11 win.

06:12 Really, it was all a backdrop to tell you that the next contender for the Women's

06:14 World Championship is Ivy Nile.

06:16 We got a video promo for the Party Girls who love to party.

06:20 And CM Punk made his decision to sign with Monday Night Raw rather than join Smackdown

06:24 or NXT.

06:25 He apologised for walking out on WWE 10 years ago, which amazingly and quite poetically

06:30 was in the same building they were in for this edition of Monday Night Raw.

06:34 And he wants to put all of his ghosts behind him.

06:37 And this brought out Seth Rollins.

06:39 Rollins pointed out what a lot of us are thinking.

06:41 This isn't your home, Punk.

06:43 You've spent the last 10 years talking about how this company nearly killed you, fired

06:47 you on your wedding day and have been sucking blood-covered dicks in Saudi Arabia.

06:51 You've buried just about anyone who stayed in WWE.

06:55 Seth on the other hand has stuck around through all of the bad times WWE has had.

06:59 This company was the drizzling turds between 2014 and 2022 and Seth was there for all of

07:04 it, working hard.

07:06 Seth looked at Punk and told him, "Don't you dare call this your home.

07:10 This is not your home.

07:11 This is my home."

07:13 He said he is going to protect WWE from CM Punk.

07:17 Let's just hope he cleared that line with him ahead of time.

07:20 Punk retorted by saying he was going to enter the Royal Rumble and was going to face Rollins

07:24 for that World Title.

07:26 I really think this is the best Punk has been since coming back to WWE.

07:30 He still feels completely disingenuous and I think that is intentional, but more interestingly

07:34 for me, this is the best that Rollins has felt since he won the title.

07:39 Maybe even before that.

07:40 It's certainly the first time that the World Title has felt worth a damn, but even then

07:44 I think the interest is in Punk vs. Rollins, not Punk vs. Rollins for a belt.

07:48 But that's the magic of Punk.

07:49 The key for me and what makes this so interesting is that I don't believe anything that Punk

07:54 is saying, but I do believe what Seth is saying.

07:57 And I really do think that is the point.

08:00 This was fantastic TV.

08:02 Captivating.

08:03 Brilliant stuff.

08:04 Bronson Reed beat Ivar in a match that was more ad-breaking than it was wrestling bouts

08:08 and he won with a Superplex which I quite enjoyed.

08:10 The Judgment Day came out for a fun comedy segment with R-Truth where they just battered

08:14 him.

08:15 The Creed's ran out for the save, but the numbers overwhelmed them.

08:17 Until they didn't and the Creed stood tall.

08:19 This was very effective booking.

08:21 The Party Girls quickly beat The Way and Becky Lynch had a decent promo segment with Nia

08:25 Jax instead of a match between them down the line.

08:28 It's amazing that they never did a match between those two after the facebreak spot.

08:32 Becky was fantastic in this promo.

08:35 DIY teamed with The Miz to beat Imperium when Miz pinned Giovanni Vinci.

08:39 It was a very fun finish as Miz had Gunther in the Figure Four and Kaiser failed to make

08:43 the save as he got caught in the Gargano Escape.

08:46 So Gunther had to rely on Vinci to make the save, who did save him but then got pinned.

08:50 It's a good finish that plays into the overall story.

08:53 The problem is, is that story is BREAKING UP IMPERIUM AND STOP TRYING TO BREAK UP IMPERIUM.

08:58 Miz is going to get another shot at Gunther, and if he loses this time he cannot challenge

09:02 for the belt while Gunther is champ.

09:05 And the main event saw Shinsuke Nakamura in his Black Reign cosplay and Cody Rhodes end

09:09 in a lame DQ when Nakamura misted him.

09:11 Nakamura laid Cody out with a Kinshasa and the Creed of all people came out to make the

09:16 save.

09:17 That was quite the lame finish to a show that overall was pretty good.

09:20 The wrestling was broadly fine, but the promo work was excellent.

09:24 This week's show is 3 out of 5.
