00:03Where's your kid now, Sheriff?
00:06Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:08And today, we're counting down our picks of the times animated Disney and Pixar movies pulled a fast one on us.
00:14This is your spoiler warning.
00:16No!
00:17What have you done?
00:19What have you done?!
00:22Number 30.
00:23Zurg is Buzz's dad.
00:25Toy Story 2.
00:26In the fictional backstory of Buzz Lightyear,
00:29his arch-nemesis is the evil Emperor Zurg.
00:31During a battle on top of a descending elevator,
00:34one of the Buzz Lightyears from the Toy Store gets a very familiar-sounding plot twist dropped on him.
00:39You killed my father!
00:41No, Buzz. I am your father.
00:45No!
00:49Science fiction fans, or really anyone who knows anything about pop culture,
00:53knows this moment is lifted right out of The Empire Strikes Back.
00:57Still, we didn't expect to see it in the Toy Story series.
01:00Zurg's defeat right after leaves room for a couple of big comedic payoffs as a result.
01:05I have a lot of catching up to do with my dad.
01:09Good throw, son. That's my boy. Go on, buddy.
01:13Oh, you're a great dad.
01:15Number 29.
01:16Lightning McQueen gives up the Piston Cup.
01:19Cars.
01:20Big shot racing car Lightning McQueen makes his return to racing at the Piston Cup.
01:24He's got his eyes on the prize.
01:26But his time in the little town of Radiator Springs has taught him a thing or two about what's really important.
01:31You just gave up the Piston Cup. You know then? Now?
01:35This grumpy old race car I know once told me something.
01:38It's just an empty cup.
01:39So when his rival drives the king off the track,
01:42Lightning gives up his chance at winning the prestigious race to help the busted-up car get across the finish line.
01:47Rather than have its hero achieve his superficial dream,
01:50in its climax, car spreads its true message of prioritizing relationships
01:55instead of stepping on others to achieve success.
01:57You made us proud, kid.
01:59Congrats on the loss, me bucko.
02:04You got a lot of stuff, kid.
02:07Thanks, Doc.
02:08Number 28.
02:09Tuppence saves the family.
02:11Mary Poppins returns.
02:13In this sequel, Michael Banks is all grown up with children and problems of his own.
02:17His childhood home is facing repossession.
02:20But a last-minute callback to the original film saves it when the iconic Dick Van Dyke arrives to save the day.
02:26Van Dyke plays the elderly banker, Mr. Dawes Jr.,
02:29who arrives with news to alleviate Michael's financial woes.
02:33Michael's father, your grandfather, gave those tuppence to this bank and told us to guard it well.
02:42We did just that.
02:43The tuppence Michael invested in the original movie will more than cover his deficit.
02:48While this may kinda sorta contradict the original movie's message about money,
02:52it was a pretty unexpected way for the story to be resolved.
02:55Really, Michael?
02:57In fact, enough to pay off that loan you took.
03:03The house is yours.
03:05Number 27.
03:07Evelyn all along in Incredibles 2.
03:09This superhero sequel needed a villain to top the original.
03:13They found it in the Screenslaver,
03:15a hacker who has somehow developed a technology that can hypnotize people through screens.
03:19Elastigirl realizes too late that the villain was right next to her the entire time.
03:24Evelyn, a tech genius who was thought to be an ally to the heroic Parr family,
03:28is revealed to be behind the entire plot.
03:31Why would you count on me?
03:32Because I built you a bike?
03:34Because my brother knows the words to your theme song?
03:37We don't know each other!
03:39Her aim to sow suspicion around the very technology she's using to carry out her master plan
03:44is shockingly resonant in a world dominated by screens.
03:47But it's her personal hatred for superheroes that really makes the twist pop.
03:51Begged my father to use the safe room.
03:54But father insisted they call his superhero friends.
03:58He died.
04:00Pointlessly.
04:01Stupidly.
04:02Number 26.
04:04Ursula becomes Vanessa, the Little Mermaid.
04:07The voice stealing sea witch is evil from the jump, that much is clear.
04:11But she's not much of a direct rival to Ariel's budding romance with Prince Eric.
04:15That is, until Ursula pulls off a devious transformation.
04:19Titanstalker will be mine!
04:21And then I'll make him writhe.
04:23I'll see him wriggle like a worm on a hook!
04:27She casts a spell that turns her into Vanessa,
04:29a raven-haired maiden, and worms her way into Eric's good graces through magic and deceit.
04:34Ariel watches as the man she loves sets sail with the disguised witch,
04:38who is about to steal her happily ever after.
04:40Soon I'll have that Little Mermaid and the ocean will be mine!
04:48Disney viewers have seen their share of shapeshifting villainesses,
04:52but Ursula really gets under our skin.
04:54Number 25.
04:56Aladdin frees the genie.
04:58Aladdin.
04:58When Aladdin first finds the mystical servant inside the antique lamp,
05:02he promises to use his third and final wish to free him.
05:05This gets complicated when Aladdin is down to his last wish
05:09and thinks he must decide between marrying Jasmine and honoring his promise to the genie.
05:13I can't wish you free.
05:16Fine, I understand.
05:18After all, you've lied to everyone else.
05:20Hey, I was beginning to feel left out.
05:22So far, Aladdin's gotten by on his ability to outwit others.
05:25What clever trick will he use to get out of this one?
05:28Well, he doesn't.
05:29He finally makes the unselfish decision.
05:32And frees his friend from the lamp.
05:34Genie, I wish for your freedom.
05:36One bonafide prince pedigree coming up!
05:38I...
05:39What?
05:40Genie, you're free!
05:42In the end, it's Aladdin's good deed that earns him what he actually wants.
05:46Number 24.
05:48Gaston stabs the Beast.
05:50Beauty and the Beast.
05:51For an animated movie, Beauty and the Beast gets pretty intense.
05:54The Beast, having become a better man,
05:57graciously spares the rotten and unhinged Gaston's life.
06:00Let me go! Please! Don't hurt me!
06:03I'll do anything! Anything!
06:05But just as he and Belle are about to be reunited,
06:08Gaston sneaks up behind the Beast and savagely stabs him in the back.
06:12Sword fights and battles are one thing,
06:14but this surprise is one of the more violent acts in the studio's canon.
06:17It's an act of cowardice and cruelty that cements Gaston as one of Disney's nastiest villains.
06:23You came back.
06:26Fortunately, he gets some instant karmic payback,
06:29losing his footing and plunging over the edge of a cliff.
06:32Number 23.
06:34The truth about Pleasure Island.
06:35Pinocchio.
06:36How would you like a side of body horror with your Disney classic?
06:39Yearning to become a real boy,
06:41young Pinocchio is manipulated into joining a puppet show.
06:45But when he gets into trouble, he's shipped off to Pleasure Island,
06:48where boys his age are seemingly allowed to run wild.
06:51They say it's a swell day.
06:53Then comes the movie's stroke of demented genius.
06:56It turns out that the boys on Pleasure Island are cursed to change into donkeys,
07:00a punishment for their jackass behavior.
07:03Lampwick's horror at his own transformation is actually pretty scary and heavy for kids.
07:07I've been double-crossed!
07:09Help! Help!
07:10Somebody help!
07:12I've been framed!
07:13Help!
07:14Please! You gotta help me!
07:16Help! Help!
07:18Help! Help!
07:21Please! You gotta help me!
07:23Be a pal!
07:24Even on a rewatch, the events of the scene stick with you.
07:28Number 22.
07:29Woody is in the box.
07:31Toy Story 3.
07:32As the toys near the end of their time together,
07:34with Andy going off to college and taking only Woody with him,
07:37there's a sense of the family breaking up.
07:39We assume Woody will wind up sticking with Andy,
07:42while the others end up in the attic.
07:43This isn't goodbye.
07:45Hey, Woody.
07:46Have fun at college.
07:48Yeah, but not too much fun.
07:50Woody, take care of Andy.
07:53This would have been sad enough,
07:55but Woody intervenes,
07:56making it so Andy drops his toys off with a young girl named Bonnie.
08:00We are as shocked as Andy is to see that Woody,
08:02his longtime favorite,
08:03has found his way into the box with all the other toys.
08:06But the thing that makes Woody special
08:09is he'll never give up on you.
08:12Ever.
08:14He'll be there for you, no matter what.
08:17Woody and Andy, without ever speaking,
08:20both come to the realization that their time together is over.
08:23Number 21.
08:25Bruno never left.
08:26Encanto.
08:27Ostracized by his community for his gifts,
08:30the estranged Madrigal son Bruno
08:32is only referred to as a topic the family won't discuss.
08:35We don't talk about Bruno, no, no, no.
08:40We don't talk about Bruno.
08:43For most of the movie, we believe,
08:45as the family does,
08:46that he simply left the village.
08:48It's pretty obvious the story will find a way to bring him back.
08:51However, it turns out he didn't have far to come back from.
08:54Young Mirabelle makes a shocking discovery.
08:57How long have you been back here?
09:05You never left.
09:07She gains access to a secret passage system within the family home
09:10and discovers that her uncle never left.
09:13He simply made a home for himself in the walls.
09:16Number 20.
09:17Maleficent's transformation.
09:19Sleeping Beauty.
09:29Yeah, we know this is kind of common knowledge now.
09:32Just about everyone today is aware of Maleficent's immense power.
09:37But back in 1959, this was, more or less,
09:40the original Disney plot twist.
09:42Just as Prince Philip is about to save Princess Aurora,
09:45the mistress of all evil stops him outside of King Stefan's castle.
09:49No, it cannot be!
09:57A bit of maniacal laughing and a massive column of green fire later,
10:01Maleficent reveals herself in the form of a vicious dragon.
10:05Now shall you deal with me, your prince,
10:09and all the powers of hell!
10:16This sudden display of power would become one of the most iconic battles
10:19and memorable moments in Disney history.
10:23Number 19.
10:24Fred's dad was a superhero.
10:26Big Hero 6.
10:27This is your house?
10:29I thought you lived under a bridge.
10:31Well, technically it belongs to my parents.
10:33They're on a vacay on the family island.
10:35Just when we thought Big Hero 6 was wrapped up in a nice big bow,
10:39Disney went and blew our minds in a post-credits sequence.
10:43Fred stands in front of a family portrait and talks to his dad,
10:47but as he touches the frame, the picture opens a bit.
10:50I just wish I could share my accomplishments with you.
10:53You mean so much to me and honestly,
10:55I've always felt a distance,
10:57what with you being on the family island all the time and...
11:00I just wish you could see how...
11:03Behind it is a small room containing superhero costumes,
11:06gadgets and a sizable computer.
11:08Yep, Fred's dad was a superhero.
11:11I wear them front.
11:13I wear them back.
11:15I go inside out.
11:17Then I go front and back.
11:20Dad!
11:21And of course, you can't have a Marvel movie without Stan Lee making an appearance.
11:26Superheroes in New York?
11:28Give me a break.
11:29Rest in peace, you comic book legend.
11:32We have a lot to talk about.
11:36Number 18.
11:37Charles F. Muntz turns out to be evil.
11:40Up.
11:40Humiliated, Muntz-Fauser returned to Paradise Falls
11:43and promises to capture the beast alive.
11:46They say you should never meet your heroes
11:48and we experienced that lesson firsthand in Up
11:51when Carl and Russell have dinner with Charles F. Muntz.
11:55Charles tells the two he's been looking for a rare bird
11:57that just so happens to fit Kevin's description.
12:00Leave it to Russell's naivete to let the cat out of the bag
12:04or the bird.
12:05And as soon as he does, the whole tone changes.
12:08They soon find that this mountain is a very dangerous place.
12:15Hey, that looks like Kevin.
12:19Kevin?
12:20Charles shows the pair the caps of various explorers he's met
12:24and subtly threatens their lives.
12:26An old man taking his house to Paradise Falls.
12:38It's amazing how far an old man is willing to go
12:40just to take credit for discovering a bird.
12:43Number 17.
12:44Gergie's Sacrifice.
12:46The Black Cauldron.
12:47Gergie is bold and brave.
12:49He will climb into the evil cauldron.
12:51However, the poor deathling will never climb out alive.
12:56Yikes!
12:59The Black Cauldron has been known to be Disney's darkest movie
13:02and with a reputation like that,
13:04you can expect some death to occur on screen.
13:07Although, we certainly weren't expecting any of it to involve
13:09the movie's comic relief character, Gergie.
13:12After Gergie unties Taron, Elanwee, and Flutterflam,
13:16Taron attempts to throw himself into the cauldron.
13:19However, Gergie stops him and cites that Taron has friends
13:22whereas Gergie has none.
13:24No, Gergie not let his friend die.
13:29Taron has many friends.
13:34Gergie has no friends.
13:35The mischievous but lovable creature proceeds to throw himself
13:38into the cauldron instead,
13:40causing the Horned King's army to collapse.
13:43This was too heart-wrenching to handle,
13:45but we're glad we got him back before the movie was over.
13:48I'm alive!
13:50Gergie's alive!
13:51Look, look, look!
13:52Touch me!
13:54Gergie!
13:55Number 16.
13:56The Bowler Hat Guy is Goob.
13:58Meet the Robinsons.
14:00Meet the Robinsons threw quite a few things out of left field
14:04and one of the film's most surprising twists
14:06was the identity of Bowler Hat Guy.
14:09Throughout the film, we see this guy follow Louis
14:11and he's only ever referred to by his generically descriptive name.
14:14There is no Bowler Hat Guy, there is no Time Machine,
14:17and you're not from the future.
14:19When he finally captures Louis,
14:21Bowler Hat Guy reveals himself as Louis' former roommate
14:24from the orphanage, Goob.
14:25My old room.
14:27I think you mean our old room.
14:29What?
14:30Yes, yes, it is I,
14:33Mike Yakubian!
14:35This was something no one could have guessed
14:36given Bowler Hat Guy's lanky stature and twisted mustache.
14:40It doesn't exactly say former Little League baseball player, you know.
14:44It wasn't my fault.
14:46It was yours.
14:47If you hadn't kept me up all night working on your stupid project,
14:51then I wouldn't have missed the catch.
14:53We're just glad there was a happy ending for him.
14:56Number 15.
14:57Mordu wasn't originally a bear.
14:59Brave.
15:00Last time I did this was for a prince.
15:04Easy on the eyes, type person.
15:07He demanded I give him the strength of ten men,
15:10and he gave me this for a spell.
15:14A spell that would change his fate.
15:16While following a wisp to an eerie area of ruin,
15:19Merida falls into a hole and finds a hidden temple
15:22that recounts a story her mother used to tell her.
15:24But the oldest prince wanted to rule the land for himself.
15:30He followed his own path, and the kingdom fell.
15:34As she observes more of the scene,
15:36noticing a cracked mantle and pile of skeletons,
15:39Merida soon realizes that she has stepped foot inside of Mordu's lair
15:42and that he was the human prince in her mother's story.
15:45The prince became...
15:53Mordu.
15:54What's even more shocking is that not only is the notorious warrior still around,
15:59but he was also the same bear that attacked earlier in the movie.
16:02Who'd have thought that a mythical villain would still be around years later?
16:12Most movies like to end with everything going back to normal.
16:15See?
16:17No matter where she goes, or where she lives,
16:21she's always gonna be our friend,
16:23and we've just gotta trust her.
16:25However, Ralph Breaks the Internet is not like most movies,
16:28as its ending is more bittersweet than we anticipated.
16:32Oh, before you go, I wanted to give you this.
16:36Oh, I'm so sorry I broke it, Ralph.
16:39No, no, it's okay.
16:41Now we can both have a half, see?
16:43After stopping a dangerous virus from destroying the internet,
16:47Ralph and Vanellope say their goodbyes
16:49and apologize for their misdeeds before giving each other one last hug.
16:53I love you so much.
16:56I'm really gonna miss you.
16:59I'm gonna miss you too, kid.
17:02I really am.
17:08Typically, this would be the part where someone changes their mind
17:11and chooses to go back to normal,
17:13but as Vanellope ascends the staircase to Slaughter Race,
17:16we realize this truly is farewell.
17:19The arcade won't be the same without you, kid.
17:26Of all the Pixar movies, none had a twist more grim than this.
17:31Throughout the first half of The Incredibles,
17:33we're made aware of the sudden disappearance of a super known as Gazer Bean.
17:37You remember Gazer Bean?
17:38Yeah, there was something about him in the paper.
17:40He had trouble adjusting to civilian life too.
17:42When's the last time you saw him?
17:44I don't see anyone from the old days, Bob. Just you.
17:47However, we don't discover his fate
17:49until after Mr. Incredible's first encounter with Syndrome,
17:52who reveals himself to have been the hero's biggest fan, Buddy Pine.
17:56After all, I am your biggest fan.
18:01Buddy?
18:02My name is not Buddy!
18:04It appears that Gazer Bean had died in the caves while trying to hide from Syndrome,
18:09but at least he managed to burn Cronos into the caves' walls and stalagmites prior to.
18:14We had a feeling Gazer Bean might have died,
18:16but we never anticipated to see his remains as they were in his final moments.
18:21Dang, the Incredibles is a little more disturbing than we remember.
18:25Number 12. Stinky Pete was behind everything.
18:28Toy Story 2.
18:29The museum's only interested in the collection if you're in it, Woody.
18:34Without you, we go back into storage.
18:37It's that simple.
18:39Lotso may have played the bad guy disguised as a friend card,
18:42but the original was none other than Stinky Pete.
18:45Throughout Toy Story 2,
18:47Stinky Pete presents himself as an understanding and compassionate old-timer.
18:51He isn't aggressive about his plans to go to Japan,
18:54until Buzz and the gang arrive to retrieve Woody.
18:57Prospector, how about you?
19:04Prospector?
19:05You're out of your box!
19:07I tried reasoning with you, Woody.
19:10Not only does he lock Buzz and friends in the vents,
19:13but he reveals that he's been stirring some of the drama between Woody and Jesse.
19:17Stinky Pete quickly turned from a generous ally to a manipulative and devious toy.
19:22Well, Stinky Pete, I think it's time you learned the true meaning of playtime.
19:28Right over there, guys!
19:29No! No! No!
19:32Number 11.
19:33Mr. Waternoose and Randall are working together.
19:36Monsters, Inc.
19:38Decades later, this Pixar moment still chills us to the bone.
19:42When Boo is revealed to Waternoose,
19:45Mike explains to the crab-legged executive about the child's presence and Randall's plans.
19:49How could this happen?
19:51Oh, how could this happen?
19:54Does anyone else know about this?
19:57No, sir.
19:57Good.
19:58This company can't afford any more bad publicity.
20:01The tone quickly shifts from mildly upsetting to unsettling,
20:04as a large metal door descends and activates.
20:07What follows is one of the most chilling and shocking dialogue exchanges in Disney history.
20:13Uh, sir, that's not her door.
20:15I know. I know.
20:20It's yours.
20:26Waternoose was working with Randall the entire time,
20:29and the reveal happened so fast that we barely had enough time to process it.
20:33All we could do was sit in despair and watch Sully try to reactivate the door.
20:38Of course, we couldn't forget about Roz's secret identity.
20:42Who could have guessed she was the head of the CDA the entire time?
20:46Of course, without your help,
20:48I never would have known that this went all the way up to Waternoose.
20:56Well, I have a story to tell you.
20:58Really? What's it about?
21:00This was a reveal that perceptive viewers likely predicted,
21:03but foresight wouldn't have made it any less devastating.
21:06In Brother Bear, a boy named Kenai is transformed into a bear after angering the spirits
21:11by killing a bear to avenge his brother's death.
21:14He's given a mission that he must complete before becoming human again,
21:18and on the way meets another bear cub named Coda.
21:20The truth is, I got separated from my mom.
21:24And now, with this hunter around...
21:27Kid, I got my own problems.
21:29Come on!
21:30As the story moves on, we learn that Coda's mother,
21:33who has been missing for some time,
21:35was in fact the bear that Kenai killed.
21:37The monster has her backed up against this giant glacier!
21:41By that point, the two have formed a deep bond,
21:44and the moment where he has to confess to him is absolutely heartbreaking.
21:48Your mother's not coming.
21:54I'm Miguel, your great-great-grandson.
21:59I have a great-great-grandson?
22:01I need your blessing, so I can go back home and be a musician just like you!
22:07Miguel lives for music.
22:09There's only one problem.
22:10Ever since Miguel's great-great-grandfather abandoned the family for a music career,
22:15they forbid it.
22:16For much of the film, Miguel believes that the famous musician Ernesto de la Cruz is his relative.
22:21De la Cruz's guitar?
22:24Papá...
22:26Papá...
22:28Mama Coco, is your papá Ernesto de la Cruz?
22:32After Miguel ends up in the land of the dead, matters get even more complicated.
22:37On his quest to find Ernesto and get back to the land of the living,
22:41Miguel meets Hector, an old friend of Ernesto's,
22:44and whose living family is forgetting him.
22:47It soon becomes clear Ernesto isn't Miguel's ancestor, or a good guy.
22:52He killed Hector, Miguel's actual great-great-grandfather, to steal his music,
22:57which is why Hector never made it home.
22:59Now that's some family drama.
23:02Where...
23:04Where did you get this?
23:06That's my mama Coco.
23:08That's my mami Melda.
23:11Is that...
23:13you?
23:18We're...
23:20family.
23:21Number 8.
23:22The masked villain Yo-Kai is Callahan, Big Hero 6.
23:26Set in the fictional future city of San Fransokyo,
23:30a young inventor named Hiro Hamada quickly shows the robotics world what he's made of,
23:34and attracts the attention of Professor Robert Callahan,
23:37the robotics department head at the Institute of Technology,
23:40and entrepreneur Alistair Cray.
23:42Mr. Cray has cut corners and ignored sound science to get where he is.
23:47As the events escalate, it looks like Callahan has been killed,
23:50and suddenly a villain in a kabuki mask has taken Hiro's invention,
23:54and will do anything to keep it.
23:56Let's not jump to conclusions.
23:57We don't know he's trying to kill us.
24:00Or he's trying to kill us!
24:02Both the film's characters and the audience think for quite some time
24:05that Cray is the man behind the mask.
24:07Cray's the guy in the mask.
24:08When Yo-Kai was unmasked and revealed to be none other than Professor Callahan,
24:13well, we had to pick our jaws up off the floor.
24:16Professor Callahan?
24:18Number 7.
24:19Meg conspired with Hades, Hercules.
24:22If I say I want Wonder Boy's head on a platter, you say.
24:27Medium or well done.
24:29When Hercules first meets Meg, she's in a sticky situation with Nessus,
24:33providing our hero with a convenient opportunity to come to the rescue
24:37and impress the damsel in distress.
24:39I'm a damsel.
24:41I'm in distress.
24:43I can handle this.
24:44Have a nice day.
24:45It quickly becomes clear that she's no helpless victim,
24:48and can totally hold her own,
24:50keeping Hercules on his toes with her sarcasm and quick wit.
24:54Much to Hercules' shock, and the audience's as well,
24:57we learn that she's been manipulating our hero from the very beginning.
25:00I mean, your little chickie-poo here was working for me all the time, duh.
25:06You're... you're lying!
25:08Her soul belongs to Hades as a result of a bargain she made to save a past boyfriend,
25:13who quickly betrayed her and left her in Hades' debt,
25:16heartbroken and understandably jaded.
25:19Number 6.
25:20Wilbur is actually Lewis' future son,
25:23Meet the Robinsons.
25:25Your hair's a dead giveaway.
25:26Why would my hair be a dead giveaway?
25:28That is an excellent question.
25:29When a movie involves time travel,
25:31it's inevitable that there will be some unpredictable twists and turns.
25:35Meet the Robinsons may be one of Disney's lesser-known animated films,
25:39but you shouldn't underestimate it.
25:41It delivers big surprises.
25:43Lewis is a young inventor who meets a boy named Wilbur Robinson at a science fair,
25:48who claims he's a time traveler and proves it by taking Lewis to the year 2037.
25:53In a twist that no one could have seen coming,
25:55it turns out that Wilbur's dad Cornelius is actually Lewis in the future,
26:00and Wilbur is his son.
26:01Are you saying that I'm Wilbur's dad?
26:06Oh, give the boy a prize!
26:09Admittedly, you might have to watch the movie to fully grasp the impact of this one.
26:13It was our first real invention.
26:16It's the one that started it all.
26:18Wowee.
26:23I can't let you do this.
26:26And I can't let you die.
26:27We all knew the story of Rapunzel long before seeing this 2010 Disney film,
26:32but this modern adaptation takes some liberties with the classic fairy tale.
26:36Tangled adds dimension to the powers of Rapunzel's hair,
26:39giving it healing powers and anti-aging abilities.
26:43As a result, many people are attempting to take advantage of Rapunzel
26:46in order to reap the benefits of her magical hair.
26:49I love you most.
26:52When her closest ally Flynn, a.k.a. Eugene, chops off her magnificent mane, though,
26:57we were totally floored.
27:03Eugene, wait!
27:05It takes us a few moments to realize that he's actually doing it for her own good.
27:09Thanks to a little unexpected leftover magic,
27:12the move even secures their happily ever after.
27:23You game-jumped?
27:24Ralph, you're not going turbo, are you?
27:27What? No, no.
27:29In this video game-inspired film,
27:31the titular Wreck-It Ralph is a villain who longs to be a hero.
27:35Sure must be nice being the good guy.
27:37Along the way, however, he sets some potentially devastating wheels in motion,
27:41forcing him to become a real hero to fix his mistakes.
27:45In the game Sugar Rush, Ralph attempts to help Vanellope,
27:48a glitch who wants to become a playable character.
27:51Nothing is as it seems in Sugar Rush, however,
27:54and we learn that the supposed hero King Candy is actually Turbo,
27:57an infamous rogue character.
27:59I'm Turbo, the greatest racer ever!
28:03Furthermore, it's revealed that Vanellope is really a princess
28:06and former protagonist of the game Turbo Corrupted.
28:10All hail the rightful ruler of Sugar Rush,
28:14Princess Vanellope.
28:16It's complicated in summary, but in film,
28:18this reveal was flawlessly executed.
28:25How did you know where to find us?
28:28I'll go ahead and I'll take that case now.
28:302016's Zootopia may seem like a fun romp
28:33through an exciting anthropomorphic animal world,
28:35but if you take a closer look,
28:37there's a lot going on underneath the surface.
28:40The moral takeaway of the film is about prejudice and bigotry,
28:43and no one better exemplifies this than the character of Dawn Bellwether.
28:47This sheep is introduced as the assistant mayor
28:50and seems as sweet as can be,
28:52endearing herself to Judy as a fellow small animal.
28:55Us little guys really need to stick together, right?
28:58Like glue.
28:59Good one.
29:00In the end though, it's revealed that she's actually
29:03the villainous mastermind behind the drugging of predators in the city.
29:06Fear always works.
29:09And I'll dart every predator in Zootopia to keep it that way.
29:14Because of her diminutive stature and personality,
29:17this one came as a total shock.
29:20It's called a hustle, sweetheart.
29:22Boom.
29:29Te Fiti.
29:31It's gone.
29:32The primary villain in Disney's 2016 film Moana
29:35is a fiery demon called Te Ka.
29:38What neither viewers or Moana knew, however,
29:40was that Te Ka was actually transformed into her current state
29:43by Maui, the demigod.
29:45She used to be Te Fiti, the goddess of life and Mother Island,
29:48before her transformation.
29:50While we are initially given the lore of Te Fiti's history
29:53and told that Moana is the one who has to revive her,
29:56it's not until later that we realize
29:58she and Te Ka are one and the same.

30:22Number 1. Hans is Evil – Frozen
30:26Oh, Anna.
30:29If only there was someone out there who loved you.
30:31Red herrings about the identity of a true villain in a film
30:34are a dime a dozen.
30:36But the reveal of who the true bad guy is in Frozen
30:39is something we won't be getting over anytime soon.
30:42When Princess Anna meets the dashing Prince Hans,
30:45it seems like a match made in heaven.
30:46Lucky you, it's just me.
30:50Just you?
30:51They even have one of the cutest duets together
30:53in the history of Disney songs.
30:55Love is an open door.
30:59Life can be so much more.
31:01So imagine our surprise when Hans turns out to have ulterior motives
31:05to rule Arendelle himself.
31:07As if this wasn't enough, we also get a twist ending
31:10when Anna is saved by Elsa's love in the film's conclusion.
31:14An act of true love will thaw a frozen heart.
