00:00The 3x3 team, Tahoe Story, made history after winning the 2024 Yunnan 3x3 Circuit Dehong Stop 3 in China.

00:17The 2024 Yunnan 3x3 Circuit Dehong Stop 3 was won by the newest 3x3 team, Tahoe Story this week.

00:28Head Coach Anton Altamirano was the first to form the team, followed by Naluwi Vigil, Mikey Makabalog, and American Imports, Marcus Hammonds and Billy Baptiste.

00:40In the pool play, Tahoe Story immediately showed off that they won 2 of their 3 games to get the top seed in the Pool A and enter the quarterfinals.

00:53Since then, Tahoe Story has continuously won championship games where they dominated Kuala Lumpur with a score of 21-11.

01:03This title is historic because it was the first time a Filipino team won a championship in the Chinese 3x3 Tournament.

01:13We faced really good competition. Most of them, we also fought in other international tournaments.

01:19It was not really an easy task. We had to face the top teams.

01:26According to Mikey Makabalog, even though the preparation for the cuponan was short, the team chemistry was not a problem.

01:35All of us were already playing 3x3. We were able to gel quickly as a team.

01:42That's why our strategy of going to the championship came out well.

01:49Meanwhile, Tahoe Story's team owner, Jude Espinas, is making sure that their support continues so that the 3x3 basketball can spread more in the Philippines.

02:00Coach Anton and Mikey offered us to be part of their journey in 3x3.

02:08We saw it right away. We didn't really think about it.

02:13We saw that it's a good opportunity for Tahoe Story and also for the Philippine team to represent our country step by step.
