00:00...
00:25In the far-off land of Poh-la-roo
00:28There's a most unusual thing
00:32For this far-off land of Poh-la-roo
00:35Has a most unusual king
00:38Many are the fables told
00:41How this manor came to be
00:44So hush, and I'll tell you the tale
00:48The way it was told to me
00:53Once upon a time, there was a tiny little boat,
00:57and this tiny little boat was cruising slowly through the waters of the far north.
01:03When suddenly, and without warning, came a raging arctic gale!
01:08The angry waves battered this helpless little boat from stem to stem,
01:12then stem to stem, then stem to stem, stem to stem, stem to stem...
01:17Boy, what a beating it was taking!
01:19And then a voice cries out...
01:21Help!
01:25But there is no help for this ill-fated craft.
01:28Only one man remains aboard,
01:31a trombone player by the name of Jackson.
01:36Clasping his beloved trombone to his side,
01:39he springs with a mighty leap from the port side of the boat.
01:44Upon striking the icy water, he becomes stiff.
01:49But this is no new experience for Jackson.
01:52And now this poor trombone player struggles for his life against the elements.
01:57But the elements win because...
01:59An element never forgets.
02:02Then came the dawn.
02:05The inhabitants of the island bring Jackson two.
02:08Then they bring him two more.
02:11Then they give him the bottle.
02:14Thinking him to be a god, they proclaim him king.
02:19And to this very day, you can hear them say...
02:23If you ever want to see a hip locality,
02:27it's the jumping as you ever knew.
02:31Why, then come along with me, it's the only place you'll see.
02:36Jackson, the Sliphorn King of Polaroo.
02:40Here nobody works a bit.
02:42They wouldn't think of it.
02:44Making music is all that they do.
02:48And the man who gives the beat is the gent you all should meet.
02:52Jackson, the Sliphorn King of Polaroo.
02:56And when he plays, those hot licks on his horn.
03:05I mean the island rocks.
03:09And the natives all chant.
03:22Which means I'm deep to my south.
03:25If you're really in the groove,
03:28then brother, here's your move.
03:30Grab a dog sled and march northward too.
03:34Come where music is a thing.
03:36I mean Jackson, the Sliphorn King of Polaroo.
