00:00If we look at the top three teams, Texas, Georgia, and Ohio State, we'll start there here.
00:09Votes, 5 for Ohio State, 23 for Georgia, 35 for Texas.
00:15So let me ask you this question. In your mind, is Texas, with the 35 first place votes, your choice also to be the team that you would select right now to be number one overall in college football?
00:26Yeah, absolutely. They've looked fantastic. And look, for Georgia, they lose a lot of stock, only just getting past Kentucky there last week.
00:34Ohio State, they've looked very strong. Obviously, they're off the bye week.
00:37But for Texas, Quinn Ewers leads that game on Saturday, and you're thinking, well, this could be a bit of a backward step.
00:45Arch Manning comes into the mix, and didn't he absolutely wow the sports world there on Saturday afternoon?
00:51But suddenly, with the best quarterback in the nation coming into the mix there, they really don't lose a step.
00:57So for Texas, they have been fantastic. You take a look at who they've gone against.
01:01They've done everything they've needed to, you know, to pick up the style points, whilst putting up plenty of offense at the same time there.
01:07So Texas, number one team in the nation for me, whether it's going to be Quinn Ewers or Arch Manning as your starting quarterback,
01:13I think if Quinn Ewers is back to full health, they're likely going to go with him.
01:17And I know we've seen a lot of movement in the Heisman conversation there as well.
01:20So Texas have been the standouts for mine. Ohio State really haven't done anything wrong.
01:25The only stock that I'm sort of throwing out the window right now is Georgia.
01:29They're certainly going to have to show us a bit of a bounce back.
01:32Yeah, so the reason I wanted to start with the top three teams all getting AP votes,
01:36because you would figure sometimes those numbers in the rankings equate to the betting markets here, what we have at the Fame Blue Sportsbook.
01:42But we just told you, Texas right now, number one overall in the country with 35 first place votes here.
01:47But if you look at the odds market, Dubsy, Texas is actually third in line behind Ohio State, Georgia.
01:53So Texas, the third leading team here in the odds market, makes it interesting because why?
01:59The expectations from the betters and the handicapping world is they're not the best team, even though they're number one right now.
02:04As we said, there's so much of the season still left to go in the 12 team playoff to watch it play out.
02:10But you know what is nice, Dubsy?
02:12As you called out, Texas' quarterback position here.
02:15What a great problem to have.
02:17Quinn Ewers, who could win the Heisman.
02:19You take a look at also, flipping over to the other side, Arch Manning, who could win the Heisman.
02:23You can afford extra time now for Quinn Ewers to be that number one guy, but be healthy,
02:28because Arch Manning has been tremendous in coming in in relief for Quinn Ewers.
02:33You take a look at Georgia. We know they're stacked.
02:35It's always a tough SEC.
02:37One thing we expected, probably, a little bit more out of that offense from Georgia,
02:40which we didn't see against Kentucky.
02:42A phenomenal defensive effort.
02:44Ohio State's schedule is going to get tougher, and then we see the old guard there, right?
02:47Alabama. Here comes the SEC, right?
02:49Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Missouri.
02:52But also, number eight, the Miami Hurricanes here, 3-0 on the season.
02:57Have they really played great competition, considering what we feel Florida?
03:01Not necessarily, but they are pounding their opponents here.
03:05And we look at the fans of the sportsbook, them coming in at an 18-1 price.
03:08And as we know, to get into the college football playoff in the ACC,
03:12if you win it, Dubsy, you get the automatic seed and birth in that playoff.
03:17It looks like Miami, they're going to be a playoff team this year,
03:20the way they've shown up early in the season.
03:22Yeah, and we're also seeing, I guess, the knock-on effect of star quarterback Cam Ward.
03:28I mean, what a showing. He's put up here through the first few weeks.
03:31He's thrown for over 300 yards in each of those games.
03:34He's already got 11 touchdowns just with the one interception.
03:37So, you know, we highlighted stall points count for a lot in college football.
03:41Well, they're certainly picking up plenty of those.
03:43You look at the track meets that they're coming off.
03:45It was 62 points last out. It was 56 prior to that.
03:49So the Hurricanes, the Canes, they're doing it at a very, very high rate.
03:53They're going against South Florida this week, so it's probably not going to change.
03:56They continue to pick up a bit of momentum,
03:58but it's only going to help the chances of Cam Ward,
04:02now the shortest price in the Heisman market,
04:04just continuing to stuff the box with those stats.
