00:00On this first Saturday for the Week Zero slate. Four games that
00:06feature an FBS school. Two of the four, two FBS programs
00:11facing off including that Dublin debut between Florida
00:15State and Georgia Tech. But we gotta make sure that you know
00:18all of the new additions to the 2024 college football season.
00:23And Joe, it starts with conference realignment. We'll
00:26start in the SEC. A conference that adds Oklahoma and Texas.
00:31The flag bearers of the Big 12 now members of a conference
00:35where it just means more. It does and you see Texas right
00:39there challenging Georgia in terms of the top spot to
00:42potentially win an SEC championship and make the
00:44college football playoff. The top two teams will battle it
00:48out. Schedules will matter. Georgia and Texas face off in
00:51early October and for Texas, can they step up, Kev? We saw
00:55them make the college football playoff and win the Big 12 last
00:58year, but can they step up with the week-to-week of an SEC
01:02schedule? That remains to be seen. I think Texas is a great
01:05example when we're trying to project for the first time a
01:0812-team format where you look at Texas versus Oklahoma.
01:12Schedules couldn't be any more different. OU plays all of it
01:15feels like the top teams in this conference. They're in total
01:18seven and a half. I would actually lean under on that
01:21number and obviously you're not going to sniff the playoff of
01:23Europe six and six, even if it's eight and fourteen. I
01:25still don't think that's there, but you take Texas and you
01:28might try and sell people on. Alright, the schedule is
01:30manageable, but what if you don't win the games against top
01:35teams? This team has to play at Michigan. They host Georgia
01:39after the Red River rivalry. If they go one and two of those
01:42games in their ten and two football team, many believe
01:45they'll be in the playoff. It's why they're a favorite to make
01:47the playoff, but again, what will they be hanging their hat
01:50on if they don't have a top 25 win? It makes again for a
01:55really tricky task for us here to figure out how do we play
01:58these make playoff mark?
