00:00Rich Cerminello does a lot of college football with us on SportsGrid, and he jumped on Oklahoma State at around plus 850, and he thinks that they're going to make a huge splash in this college football season.
00:18What do you think of that team and their coach? He certainly had an interesting week.
00:24Yeah, I think, you know, when you look at Oklahoma State, this is a team that a lot of people were talking about was the idea of, you know, if you're looking for someone to step up and replace the Texas and Oklahoma's, Oklahoma State's that program, you know, they've had some consistency over the years.
00:38Mike Gundy is probably the most, you know, senior coach, obviously, in this conference. Now, he's the guy outside of Deion Sanders that gets a lot of attention.
00:47He got a lot of attention this week, obviously, for some of the things he said, but they return a lot of talent.
00:53You know, Alan Bowman's a guy who's been around for a long time, a quarterback.
00:56You know, Ollie Gordon was the nation's leading rusher last year.
00:59He's a guy that could have another outstanding year.
01:01This is a program that people aren't really talking about necessarily winning it all, but I could see that happening.
01:06And I think, you know, Gundy, again, he's all the spokesman, so to speak, when it comes to college athletics.
01:11He talked a lot about some of the changes that are going on.
01:14But then again, when you think he's kind of that upper level, he said something.
01:18He talks about, you know, Ollie Gordon's arrest for DUI and mentions how the fact that, you know, who hasn't gone out and gotten, you know, a few drinks with him and driven as well.
01:27So, I mean, probably not the smartest thing to say, you know, after trying to do the whole vehicle type thing, you know, at the big 12 media days.
01:34But it did draw a lot of attention.
01:36I give him respect.
01:37Listen, he brought Ollie Gordon to this event.
01:39Most coaches wouldn't have done that.
01:41Most coaches would have hidden him, put them on the bench and said, you're not going to take you there.
01:46It's an award.
01:47We're not going to take you there to kind of be celebrated and have to deal with this.
01:50He brought him there and said, listen, he's a man.
01:53He's getting paid.
01:54He needs to step up and talk about what happened and give his kind of side of things.
01:59And that's what ended up happening.
