01:15To address the needs of those affected by the continued eruption of Canlaon Volcano

01:21that was accompanied by two more hurricanes,

01:24a Memorandum of Agreement was signed by the local government and DSWD Region 7

01:30for an additional fund that will be allocated to the victims of the calamity.

01:34In the special session held yesterday,

01:36the council immediately approved the request for P15 million from DSWD Cebu.

01:43It will be used to buy additional rice

01:46that will be distributed to the 17,000 families affected by the typhoon.

01:51The target of the LGU is to provide more than 12 kilos of rice to each family.

01:57So this is the IKUANA, the one in ACAP,

02:03rice assistance for the beneficiaries of Canlaon City.

04:33and also to avoid entering within the 4km permanent danger zone

04:38because our volcano is active

04:41and it can produce a phreatic eruption.
