Pentagon and pager company deny involvement in Beirut attack
Pentagon spokesman Air Force Major General Patrick Ryder has denied that the US had anything to do with the pager attack in southern Lebanon.

In Taiwan, the founder of Gold Apollo, the pager brand, has clarified that the brand is used by other manufacturers and that his company had nothing to do with the tampering of the devices.

Hezbollah has blamed Israel for the death of nine people and vowed revenge after the simultaneous explosion of thousands of pagers used by the proscribed terror group in Lebanon on Tuesday.

Thousands of people were injured in the attack, with 200 people said to be in a critical condition. Hezbollah said Israel would get its “fair punishment”.
