00:00Two foreign high-value individuals were arrested in the anti-illegal drug operation in Pasay City.

00:07The transaction was done through the exchange of text messages.

00:18Two foreign nationals were arrested in the so-called buy-bust operation of the police in a parking lot in Pasay City

00:25around 4 in the morning yesterday.

00:28The arrested high-value individuals were fined P100,000, which is equivalent to P680,000.

00:37According to the police, the Malaysian national, Alya Singh, was the target of the operation of the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Group and other units.

00:45But the Chinese, Alya Cheng, was also arrested for selling illegal drugs.

00:50Our target here is the Malaysian who sells illegal drugs to foreign nationals.

01:01She used to be a POGO worker.

01:04According to her, because she lost her job after the POGO was declared banned here in the Philippines, she lost her job.

01:12So this is the way she earned money.

01:18The suspects admitted to the authorities that they were getting contraband from a Chinese woman, also known as Chen.

01:26Most of the suspects were Nigerian-Chinese who used to work for POGO, based on the authority.

01:34Our target, the Malaysian, is a big one.

01:39Her minimum is P50,000.

01:44For example, if you get her parochial workers, they will probably look at it and distribute it so they can earn money.

01:53The transaction was done via text messaging.

01:56The deal was made.

01:57And the meet-up was done in the parking lot for the illegal drugs.

02:02The authorities are still investigating if the arrested foreign nationals were directly picking up the contraband from the illegal drugs warehouse

02:10or if the contraband was sent to the country.

02:13Aside from the alleged conspiracy, they were also charged P50,000 in bribes money and cell phone.

02:19But no ID, passport, or any other documents were obtained to prove that the two foreign nationals were illegally staying in the Philippines.

02:28We can coordinate with the Directorate of Immigration if these foreign nationals are staying here in our country illegally

02:36or if we can consider them as undesirable aliens because this is what they are doing illegally here in our country.

02:47According to the police, Alya Singh confessed to them that she was previously arrested for possession of illegal drugs.

02:54We tried to get hold of the suspects, but only the Malaysian national was able to speak English.

03:01I worked for POGO until last week.

03:04But according to her, her friend sent her the contraband for the transaction.

03:10I'm not selling drugs.

03:12My friend is selling.

03:14I will hire a lawyer. I want to go home faster.

03:17I want to go back to Malaysia.

03:19The two will face charges of possession of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

03:24Meanwhile, a man was arrested for the so-called by-bus operation in Quezon City.

03:30The suspect was charged with possession of more than P100,000 worth of illegal drugs.

03:36Based on our confidential information, this man is the one selling illegal drugs or soaps.

03:45According to the suspect, the reason why he committed the crime is difficult.

03:49The man will face charges of possession of RA-9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
