President Biden said there was “no place for political violence in America” at an event in Philadelphia on Monday afternoon.
“In America, we resolve our differences peacefully at the ballot box, not at the end of a gun,” he said in remarks at an event to celebrate historically black colleges and universities in the US.
Biden also heaped praise on the Secret Service for thwarting the apparent attempt on Donald Trump’s life.
