00:00What went wrong? How did they fix it? Things we'll discuss all day long.
00:03What was the biggest factor in the loss?
00:05So, to me, and not to be, uh, I think this is on Jacoby Percet.
00:09I think the loss comes down to him.
00:11I know there were some great moments in that first half.
00:14We're sort of highlighting, like, he and Hunter Henry were in lockstep,
00:17and he marches all the way down the field,
00:18throws the touchdown pass to Polk.
00:20Like, that was really good.
00:21You're like, oh my God, this is great.
00:22Very efficient at that point in the game.
00:24I think he only had a couple of incomplete passes,
00:26and they were moving the ball.
00:28After that, the thing fell off a cliff.
00:30And where I go to it, I think, if you want to bring it down to one play,
00:35for me, it was fourth quarter, up by three,
00:39ball on the Seattle 21-yard line, and he takes a sack.
00:43And the whole idea of Jacoby Percet being in and Drake May not being in
00:48is because you would assume the rookie takes the sack there.
00:51The rookie is not experienced and pushes you further out of field goal range.
00:55The veteran should know what to do.
00:56The veteran should know what to do.
00:57Understand the game situation.
00:59Understand what Seattle's trying to do.
01:01That's why he's out there.
01:01He's a borderline 10-year vet.
01:03That's why he's starting these games.
01:05Do you remember, and the same thing came up.
01:06Remember during the COVID year, Cam Newton was out one game,
01:09I think because of COVID, and Brian Hoyer was in.
01:11And we're like, why not see Stidham?
01:13Why not play Stidham?
01:14They're like, no, no, no, Hoyer.
01:15Hoyer's the veteran.
01:15He knows what he's doing.
01:16He had the worst clock management you were ever going to see.
01:19And you're like, well, wait a minute.
01:20The whole reason this guy is in is because he's supposed to be smart,
01:23and he's not supposed to make those mistakes.
01:25So to me, Jacoby Percet, that was a disaster.
01:29That ended up being the game, because you're like,
01:31oh, Keith, the kick was blocked.
01:32So Joey Sly's been making all these kicks all year,
01:36but they've all been like 20, 30-yard field goals.
01:38This is the first time they've extended it out.
01:40So the nine-yard sack goes from a 39-yard attempt
01:44to a 48-yard attempt.
01:46And normally, not to get into the kicking weeds here,
01:48but normally, some of these guys, the further it's out,
01:51maybe you're going to kick it a little bit lower, right?
01:53You're trying to kick it further,
01:54but you're not going to pop it way up in the air,
01:56and that sort of led to the block.
01:58I feel way more confident in him drilling a 39-yard field goal
02:01than a 48-yard field goal.
02:02At that point, you're up six.
02:04So yes, a touchdown would still beat you,
02:06but it was the field goal that Seattle went down the field
02:09and got to tie the game and force overtime.
02:11So if you're up six with under four minutes to go,
02:14I know they gave up some plays, but I trust the defense there.
02:16I think you win the game if you kick a field goal
02:18instead of taking the sack.
