00:00Welcome to the Turin Motor Show for the new Nissan Qashqai.
00:10Renewed in design, interior and advanced technology of the latest generation.
00:15In the corner of Piazza Castello, the public has been able to test some e-Power models.
00:20Qashqai, a pioneer of crossovers, aims to consolidate its position as a market leader.
00:26Since its launch in 2007, today there are more than 4 million units sold worldwide,
00:313 million in Europe and more than 416,000 in Italy,
00:35where the crossover model is the most sold ever.
00:38In these 17 years, Qashqai has always dominated its segment,
00:41so it is always difficult to change a car that goes so well.
00:44You can do it by improving, but maintaining the characteristics that have decreed its success to date.
00:49One of these is accessibility.
00:51We did it because we improved it in design, a completely new front,
00:55inspired by our Japanese soul, similar to the clothes of a samurai.
01:00The interiors improved in quality and finishes,
01:02the technologies improved in connectivity, comfort and safety,
01:07all at the same price as the previous version.
01:10So not only in the versions, but also in our e-Power engine,
01:14our flagship, which represents more than 50% of the preferences of our private customers,
01:20because it gives undoubtedly advantages in terms of savings.
01:23More than 1,000 km with a full tank is certainly an advantage
01:26when we all look for more savings.
01:29So we have at the same time the pleasure of driving the electric car,
01:31so acceleration, silence, fluidity.
01:33On the other hand, however, without the aid of charging the battery,
01:36so when the energy of the battery goes down, we don't look for the battery,
01:39we look for a normal refueling station,
01:41we fill it up and we go away with 1,000 km of travel.
01:45The main trend of the Italian and international market is that of electrification.
01:50In this electrification we have the various types,
01:53the electric car is certainly going slower than expected.
01:57It is clear that in this phase of transition,
01:59we must be able to offer the consumer all possible alternatives.
02:03Our goal is to produce an electric car at the same price as a thermal car,
02:07and this is done above all by introducing new technologies on batteries.
02:12Starting from 2028, the cost of a battery will be reduced by up to 70%
02:17and it will allow a recharge in just a third of the time compared to the current one.
02:21We do our part, we hope that the institutions will do theirs,
02:25helping the market development in this initial phase with stable and long-term incentives,
02:29but above all facilitating the development of the infrastructure in terms of points and quality,
02:34especially rapid recharge on highways and highways.
