00:00This one is the Ceremony of Ceremonies, the final one after what's been around a month and a half for
00:05celebrations since the start of the Olympics to the end of it. We thought the Paralympics
00:09ended last week, well in the end we've got another ceremony to finish things off. This was
00:13the president who called this just a moment back, a couple of weeks back, to say there was going to
00:18be this final dance indeed on the Champs-Élysées. It's not uncommon for this to happen after the
00:23Olympics, think back to London 2012, it happened across the country back then, but this is indeed
00:29the aim to portray everybody who is part of the Olympics. Now obviously not every single person
00:34is going to be here who is part of it, but there's going to be athletes from both sides,
00:37from the Olympics, from the Paralympics, over 300 of them in fact, as well as volunteers,
00:43members of the organizing committee, and all 10,000 people who are going to be parading down
00:47Paris' most famous avenue. All of this to begin at 4pm Paris time and there's a lot of security
00:54of course once again which was key for holding the Paralympics and the Olympics and Paralympics
00:58of how well everything went out. So huge police presence once again, we're familiar with those
01:03scenes from just a couple of weeks back, and indeed athletes are going to be handed out
01:10different awards, some of them the Légion d'honneur indeed, one of France's recognition
01:14and merit for what athletes have done for the nation. That normally happens in the Élysée Palace,
01:20a couple of not too far away from here, a couple of streets down here, but that this time will be
01:24happening on the Champs-Élysées, of course a different scenario for the Olympics. So a final
01:30ceremony, in a way also a chance for people from the public to be able to come and see what many
01:35people missed out, many people who intentionally left Paris during the Olympics and the Paralympics,
01:40well they're going to be able to sometimes get a chance to catch a bit of that party atmosphere
01:44that did happen over these weeks. 70,000 people have been able to sign up and are expected to line
01:49up then across the Champs-Élysées. So all that kicking off at 4 p.m. at Paris time and
01:55although it's continuing well into the evening with a concert to come after that,
01:59and we're told a DJ set also happening at the Arc de Triomphe behind us.
