00:00Online sellers are calling on the Bureau of Internal Revenue, or BIR, to either postpone the implementation of Revenue Regulation 15-2024
00:09or provide a transition period, with a new regulation set to begin in January next year.
00:14According to online seller advocate, Torney Nick Conti, there is nothing wrong with that that BIR is enforcing.
00:20However, he hopes the government will also help online sellers comply with the regulations,
00:25especially since many of them are earning a minimum wage.
00:29The BIR has clarified the implementation of the regulation will not be delayed further,
00:33as it is intended to ensure fair treatment for all taxpayers, including those in traditional businesses.
