00:00The insinuation that what has been happening of late, the Kingdom of Jesus Christ or KOJC leader,

00:05Apolo Kidwiloy, is merely politically motivated did not sit well with one of the alleged victims

00:11who for several years now has been seeking justice against him. Meanwhile, the KOJC founder is

00:18seeking a legal remedy that will not only put him in a more comfortable detention arrangement,

00:23but also closer to home. How? Patrick de Jesus expounds in this report.

00:32Wearing a ballistic helmet and bulletproof vest, KOJC leader Apolo Kidwiloy arrived at the

00:38Pasig earlier today for his arraignment on the qualified human trafficking case.

00:43Other accused individuals, including Crescenti Canada, Silvia Simanez, Jacqueline Roy,

00:49and Ingrid Canada, also appeared for the reading of charges, along with Pullin Canada,

00:55who was arrested last July. Kidwiloy and the others entered a plea of not guilty.

01:07The complainant in the case, alias Amanda, also attended the hearing.

01:11She had previously testified before the Senate, detailing the alleged abuse she suffered from

01:17Kidwiloy. Amanda's camp issued a statement emphasizing the case against Kidwiloy was

01:22filed in 2019, dismissing any claims of political motivation. The pretrial is scheduled for October

01:3117. The court denied the motion to transfer Kidwiloy to the custody of the AFP. According

01:37to the commitment order from the Pasig RTC, the four accused will be transferred to the Pasig

01:43Jail under the BJMP. However, only Kidwiloy was ordered to remain at the PNP Custodial Center

01:50in Camp Krame after filing a motion for hospital arrest in Davao. According to the PNP, a government

01:57medical doctor will first examine Kidwiloy, who is 74 years old. Since his detention at the PNP

02:04Custodial Center, he has been taking maintenance medication. He also experienced a spike in blood

02:10pressure upon arrival almost a week ago. The PNP emphasized that should Kidwiloy require medical

02:25attention, the PNP General Hospital at Camp Krame and the nurses at the custodial center are

02:32available.

03:03Kidwiloy also faced arraignment at the QCRTC via video conference for a case related to child

03:10and sexual abuse. They also entered a plea of not guilty. Patrick De Asus from the National TV
