Elland Road redevelopment plans in motion says chief executive Angus Kinnear
Transcript
00:00An interesting segment about the development of Elland Road as well and actually finally
00:08getting numbers of you know potential capacities and all that sort of thing and as I was saying
00:13you know shopping lists for spades about you know actually getting this thing in motion.
00:18Obviously you doubt that any actual movement on stadium expansion is going to you know take place
00:26any material development is going to take place until Leeds are in the Premier League but it does
00:32bode well that they are getting their ducks in a row if you will before that happens.
00:38Kinnear makes it sound like more of an ongoing project than an airy fairy
00:44vague promise to do something once they get promoted. I don't know that it was going to
00:51happen under the previous ownership unless Leeds you know stayed in the Premier League for
00:56five years and beyond and were absolutely bathing in Premier League cash but this regime
01:03you would imagine would have the pockets deep enough and whilst I imagine finance will be
01:08sought you know it won't just come from pockets I think it will be procured they've obviously spent
01:15a significant amount of money already on what they need to be doing to have everything ready to go
01:20and we're expecting an announcement very shortly Kinnear said so let's see when that is
01:25hopefully timed for the October international break so it gives us something to write about
01:30and they look at the current most economic he said capacity would be 53,000 that's enough isn't it?
