Motorists are being urged to plan ahead for M621 closures near Elland Road due to major ‘super-span gantry’ works.

00:00 National Highways is taking the next step in its major improvement scheme for the M621 in Leeds by laying the foundations for a new super span gantry.
00:11 The structure will span the motorway in both directions and will be used to hold directional signs above the road between junction 2 at Elland Road and 2A on Cemetery Road.
00:22 Temporary traffic lights are already in place at the junction of Elland Road South and are expected to be in place until June, but National Highways are advising of full closures between Tuesday 9th April through to Thursday 18th and then again between the 12th and 18th of May.
00:40 Signs diversion routes will be in place and access to residential properties will remain throughout, although the City Evangelical bus stop will be temporarily suspended during the full closures.
