00:00The Department of Justice has indicated that the Bureau of Immigration should remain under the custody of Dismissed Bambang Mayor Alice Guwo.

00:12It's a big discussion now as to who and where Bambang Tarlac Mayor Alice Guwo should be imprisoned

00:18because the investigations against her are left and right.

00:22But the Department of Justice has insisted that Guwo should remain under the custody of the Bureau of Immigration.

00:30Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulia said that the cases against her are in violation of immigration law.

00:37If there is someone who should be detained, it should be the Bureau of Immigration.

00:45Because an immigration case takes precedence over everything.

00:52If we are going to prove it, an immigration case should take precedence over everything.

01:10Guwo is facing the Bureau of Immigration in the case of violation of the Philippine Passport Act

01:28The DOJ is also worried that Guwo might be sent back to the Tarlac Regional Trial Court

01:34because the Ombudsman filed an anti-graft and corruption case against the former mayor in the so-called court.

01:41She would be more influential in that area, which has been in her sphere of influence

01:46because she's the mayor of a town in the province where she's being taken as a detainee.

01:53That's why I have discomfort since the beginning of this matter.

01:58Meanwhile, another colleague of Alice Guwo, Cassandra Lee Ong,

02:04has already gone to the Supreme Court so that she won't be forced to speak in front of the camera.

02:09In the petition for certiorari filed by her camp,

02:12they are asking for Ong's right to invoke against self-incrimination.

02:19There are things that we think are violating the constitutional rights of our client, Ms. Cassandra Lee Ong.

02:27That is what we are stopping, especially our invocation of the right to remain silent

02:34and the right against self-incrimination.

02:36We are just asking for the recognition of each camera.
