Huawei’s $2,800 Trifold Phone to Rival Apple’s iPhone 16, Gains Over 3.5 Million Preorders as It Prepares for Sept. 20 Launch

Huawei introduced its Mate XT trifold smartphone, starting at about $2,800 ahead of Apple’s iPhone 16 launch. As of midday Tuesday, over 3.5 million people had preordered Huawei's trifold Mate XT smartphone, according to the company's website. The Mate XT will be available in stores on September 20th, the same day as the iPhone 16's launch in China. The Mate XT boasts AI features, a 10.2-inch screen, and is only 3.6 millimeters thick when unfolded.
