00:00The University of the Philippines won the championship after the 3rd Intercollegiate Badminton Championships.

00:15The University of the Philippines defended its title of champion

00:19in the 3rd edition of the Intercollegiate Badminton Championships 2024

00:24held at the Centro Atletico Badminton Court.

00:26Here, Maroon faced off against Ateneo de Manila University

00:30who had a final score of 3-1 and lost their 3-peat championships.

00:34Some of the players who showed their skills in the tournament were the U.P. players

00:38such as Rey Drick and Rey Angelo in the men's doubles.

00:41They were appreciated and praised from the women's doubles category.

00:45The first thing that pressured us was that they were the UEA Pre-Champions of the AP6 season.

00:49Another pressure was that we were the defending champions here in the Intercollegiate.

00:54Thank you to everyone who supports us and continues to support us.

00:58We still have a UAP coming up.

01:00We are thankful to the Lord that we were able to compete as a team in the Gold Bowl.

01:06This is a good experience for us, especially for our rookies

01:10to be able to expose them to this type of competition.

01:14At the same time, we are happy with the results of our game.

01:18According to Aimee Moreno, Tournament Director of Patimpalak,

01:21they are happy with the results of the game.

01:24More than 12 universities and colleges participated in the Intercollegiate.

01:28This is the only tournament, only platform

01:31where we can compete together with the UAAP teams versus NCAA and SQUA.

01:38So, in general, I am very, very happy with the results of this tournament.
