Breakdancer Raygun Now Ranked World Number One After Paris 2024 Olympics Controversy-

The Rachael “Raygun” Gunn drama has taken arguably its biggest twist yet after the Australian break dancer returned home.

The 37-year-old touched down in Sydney on the same day she was revealed as the new world's number-one breaker.

Gunn made worldwide headlines following her divisive performances during the Paris Olympics, which saw her finish second to last, ahead of only one disqualified athlete.

Despite those displays, which resulted in her failing to register a single point, the World DanceSport Federation released the latest rankings, with the Aussie sitting atop the list.

Raygun was catapulted into the world number one ranking thanks to the 1,000 points she claimed for winning the WDSF Oceania Championship, which booked her a spot in the Olympics.

Four Aussies find themselves inside the top eight on the list with Holy Molly (4), Hannah (5), and G-Clef (8) joining Raygun.

The three women who took home medals in Paris failed to appear on the list with no points offered for the world rankings.
