00:00The biggest story for me this weekend, my New England Patriots going on the road at
00:11the Cincinnati Bengals and keeping Joe Burrow to 10 points and my New England Patriots for
00:18all the talk about how bad they were going to be, how limited their roster is.
00:23New head coach, biggest underdog on the board.
00:26My New England Patriots ran the ball down the throats of the Cincinnati Bengals and
00:34won that game on the road.
00:36My college roommate, Alex Van Pelt, is their offensive coordinator.
00:38I called Ian Eagle this week from the CBS broadcast and I go, Ian, you got, you got
00:43the Cincinnati New England game.
00:45You got to hype up my boy Van Pelt.
00:47He said, Van Pelt will be prominently featured in this broadcast.
00:52And he was.
00:53So for me, New England is the biggest shocker of the weekend because no one gave New England
00:59a chance.
01:00In fact, if you play a survivor pool, everybody had Cincinnati to win that game.
01:04How about for you, Alex?
01:06Me personally, the Vikings got the better USC quarterback in the division.
01:13Ooh, Sam Darnold, the best USC quarterback in the NFL, because what I saw in Chicago
01:22or wherever the hell that game was in Tennessee or Chicago, oof, oof, Sam, I had to listen.
01:28I know it wasn't, I'm overreacting today, but I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this
01:31week because I know what's coming the rest of the year.
01:34But I'll tell you what, when I watched Caleb do what he did and I saw Sam look smooth as
01:39hell against the giants, and I mean, the dude started 12 of 12, Oh, I was in, I was in straight
01:48like a euphoric trance.
01:50I felt like I took Molly or something.
01:51I was like, this is great.
01:52Wait.
01:53You said you felt like you took Molly because Sam Darnold had gone 12 for 12.
01:56No, because of the whole game, the defense was incredible.
02:00The offense was smooth.
02:02It was awesome.
02:03Molly.
02:04Yeah.
02:05I was like, this is what it must feel like.
02:06This is incredible.
02:07It was great.
02:08And it was coupled.
02:09The cherry was, I was, you know, I was eight boxing.
02:12I had like four TVs in front of me.
02:15Every time I look over just Caleb, just look like he never been called quarterback a day
02:20in his life.
02:21It was incredible.
02:22Well, when you think about these young guys who, who, you know, you thought maybe would
02:25have big games this weekend, Caleb Williams did not, um, Jaden Daniels can run all over
02:30the place, but you know, Washington got beat.
02:32Um, I thought Marvin Harrison jr.
02:34For Arizona.
02:35Cause I played him on prize picks, but have more than like 67 and a half yards receiving
02:39hit like four yards receiving on one catch.
02:41Um, so yeah, the rookies did not perform even bone Knicks.
02:45Oh, bone Knicks is so great.
02:47Bone Knicks is so amazing.
02:48Bone Knicks is 24 years old.
02:50Well, people are coming out of the preseason.
02:52We're like, oh, Nick's looks great.
02:53All right.
02:54Take us through what we're looking at here.
02:55The rookie quarterbacks week.
02:56One.
02:57Yeah.
02:58Caleb 14 of 29 93 yards.
03:00That's not a typo.
03:01Uh, no touchdowns.
03:02No interceptions.
03:03Jaden Daniels.
03:0417 of 2,484 yards.
03:05Did rush for 88 and two rushing touchdowns.
03:07Bone Knicks 26 and 4,238 yards, 35 rushing yards and a touchdown, a touchdown or two
03:12interceptions at least a baseline.
03:15You said a touchdown, but it's, it said on the graphic.
03:17Oh, it's two interceptions.
03:19But he also rushed for a touchdown.
03:20Okay.
03:21Very good.
03:22There you go.
03:24Brown.
03:25What'd you make of, uh, the, the bears and Caleb and you know, it was 17, nothing Tennessee.
03:27And I'm like, oh my God, this is going to be really bad, really bad.
03:32And then all of a sudden Tennessee started falling apart.
03:36And that one play, as a matter of fact, Alex and our don't say Tennessee, don't say Tennessee.
03:40Don't do that.
03:41Don't do that to Tennessee.
03:42You were going to say, yeah, 11 started falling apart.
03:44That man was on his knees with his hands on his head.
03:47He can't believe how terrible he was.
03:49Yeah.
03:50Well, it was funny in our group chat yesterday.
03:51You were like, I love Levis L E V I S.
03:54And I was like, I saw your text and I went, Alex loves Levi's.
03:58Like he likes Levi jeans.
03:59What?
04:00I like, it took me a second to catch up to Levi's being Levis Brown.
04:03What'd you make of the opening day performance for Caleb Williams, your team, the bears.
04:08Cause I want to be clear about this.
04:10I don't want this to be misunderstood by anybody else.
04:12All right.
04:13I'm still getting that win for my Pittsburgh Steelers.
04:18That was the worst starting game I've ever seen for a Chicago bear rookie at quarterback.
04:26I'm 43, man, a no excuse what so ever no rookie has ever had the offense that's for him.
04:43Like this young man and you come out and you throw for nine, eight yards, bro.
04:52I'm disgusted.
04:54That was utterly pathetic and anybody and anybody, cause I watched a lot of Chicago
05:01coverage and I'm not going to get into personal names or personal attacks on people, but they
05:06went out to Justin Fields for the same things.
05:11I just watched Caleb Williams do hold on to the ball too long, miss wide open receivers,
05:17the offensive line, not block.
05:19And when you actually didn't make a pass, they dropped it.
05:23But all these things were Justin Fields, Paul, the atrocious play calling by Matt Waldron,
05:29just that the offense was terrible, utterly terrible.
05:36I was ready to fire Matt Eberholtz at halftime, but then the defense showed up and that's
05:43the only reason he's still working today because that defense said, all right, we'll take it
05:48from here.
05:49Thanks.
05:50Will Levis.
05:51You're terrible.
05:52Yeah.
