00:00A lot of people will point at a game and say, you see, that really could be the de facto conference title matchup, which is what we all felt entering last night to end out the divisional weekend in Western New York, the Buffalo Bills at home, hosting the Baltimore Ravens, a line and a point and a half in favor of the flock on the road all week long, 1820 10 cents at times, the difference on the money line close with 22 cents of difference between the
00:29Ravens and the Bills and a total north of 50 at 51 and a hook.
00:34Donnie, we talked about this game leading up to the matchup on Sunday night and said, if the odds track, if the game flow follows the numbers, we are in for an instant classic.
00:45And oftentimes when you set high expectations for something, it can fall short.
00:50Not last night in Orchard Park, the Bills outlast the Ravens late in regulation, 2725 to get back to an AFC championship game for the second time in the last five seasons, 2725 the final again, Buffalo wins outright as a short point and a half underdog at home, plus 102, the closing money line price on the fan dual sports book, a total of 51 and a half.
01:18Does sky over Buffalo does enough to beat Baltimore, who often DRS throughout this game, beat itself.
01:27The Ravens making uncharacteristic mistakes we had not seen from Lamar Jackson and company all season long.
01:34Yeah, a lot of things that didn't go the way of the Ravens, but the one thing that didn't go the way the Ravens was, they self inflicted themselves multiple times, which included drop passes and also more importantly, turning the football over.
01:45You can't do that.
01:46You can survive in playoff games, man, right?
01:48You turned it over two times.
01:49We turn over once.
01:49Okay, we can make up for it as long as it wasn't bad.
01:52It's hard to survive three turnovers and major drop passes in big spots.
01:56And also keep in mind, there were a couple of plays that did go against the Baltimore Ravens.
01:59Maybe the biggest one for me was right before the half, a horrible bailout call on a pass interference in the red zone, which like on the play itself, there was even a part when I saw the flag and I said, oh, that's probably the Buffalo wide receiver for running over the defensive back, but they caught it on the DB.
02:15They showed the instant replay.
02:16You saw the guys in the booth disagree with it.
02:18And I did, that was a major call because that was a three point field goal turned into a seven point touchdown there.
02:23Also keep in mind in the third quarter, you see the Baltimore Ravens scored nine points.
02:27Oh, it was three field goals.
02:28No, it wasn't.
02:29They went for the two point conversion and didn't get it.
02:31The guy was open.
02:31He got tipped bad play or bad luck.
02:34I should say for the Ravens, great play by Milano.
02:36But then you see at the end of the football game, you score that touchdown.
02:39If you just kick that extra point in the third quarter, you don't need the two point conversion.
02:43Now, granted, if they got it, they didn't get it.
02:44They still had a chance and they dropped the ball.
02:46But also Lamar Jackson was phenomenal in that fourth quarter, lighting up the drives here.
02:50Six minutes left to go.
02:52Mark Andrews over the middle with a fumble that you just can't have sometimes been like, man, you got a hard hit, pounded the football helmet to helmet.
02:59He basically had it like a loaf of bread and got knocked out of his hand midway through, which is a great play by the Buffalo player.
03:05But those are the plays that stand out to me.
03:07Like Lamar Jackson was good enough to win the football game, but you can't absolve him here.
03:11That terrible fumble when you're driving where you have to take care of the football.
03:14That was a careless turnover and the easy interception that he gave up earlier in that football game.
03:19That's what it came down to.
03:20If you go toe to toe, statistics wise, you know, Baltimore is the better team, but turnovers make up such a big deal in this game.
03:26And that's what the end result was.
03:28Yes.
03:28Mark Andrews dropped a huge two point conversion, which is a great play call.
03:32Great pass by Lamar.
03:33Catch it, fall into the end zone.
03:34We might have one of those epic games we've talked about for decades.
03:37But at the same time, if you're not going to make those plays, don't expect to win football games against the Buffalo Bills who were unbeaten at home and stayed unbeaten.
03:44At home.
