00:00We'll do it is on a pain-free Friday.
00:05Our buddy Gino Bacola from Daily Racing Form and you can follow him on X at it's me Gino
00:11B styling getting us ready for Saturday around the tracks with some great plays and picks
00:20on ponies and then a little NFL push at the end.
00:25He's going to give us some picks there as well for pain day Sunday.
00:29Gino, good to see you.
00:30First of all, I always love when you give out the websites and where to get all the
00:34skinny from Daily Racing Form.
00:36Yep.
00:37Shop.drf.com.
00:38That's the place to go.
00:39That's where you can get the past performances to do all the research.
00:42We're going to show you some graphics that are time form US profile cards.
00:46They're really cool because visually they show you a lot about horses where they will
00:50run in a particular race.
00:51Their running style, they'll give you metrics and ratings so you can see them compared to
00:55some of the other runners in the race.
00:57It's closing weekend at Del Mar, so we'll get there in a minute.
00:59But first, Kentucky Downs.
01:02There are some huge races this weekend.
01:03I am.
01:04I'm pumped up right now.
01:05We got college football going on.
01:06My Trojans got a big win last week.
01:07I've got a couple NFL plays.
01:09Huge money at Kentucky Downs.
01:11There are six races on Saturday worth $2 million of purses in each of them.
01:15I've got a couple plays in those.
01:17One of them is going to come in race number six at Kentucky Downs.
01:20This is a horse named Nisi Marie, the number seven.
01:23This horse was actually supposed to run at Saratoga last weekend, scratched out of a
01:28spot there to run in this race instead because it's worth way more money.
01:33And instead of being 8-1 on the morning line, Nisi Marie gets to come over here and be 4-1.
01:38So Scott, if you get a chance to run for more money in a race where you're going to be a
01:43more logical contender, you have to come over and do it.
01:46I think Nisi Marie makes a lot of sense in here.
01:48One thing that she's done that you and I still have not done, she's matured as she's gotten
01:53a little bit older, Scott.
01:54Some of the horses are very precocious.
01:56They're good early.
01:57Others, they take a little while, and then others like you and me, we're still waiting
02:00for them to fully mature.
02:04Your boy Geno B coming in hot.
02:07All right, what about race eight?
02:10This is going to be the number seven again.
02:11We'll go back to the same number a couple races later.
02:14Funtastic again is a horse who, as he's gotten a little bit older, he's shown us that not
02:18only does he have good speed, but now he can relax and sit behind horses, and he's
02:23going to have to do that because in this race, this is race eight on Saturday at Kentucky,
02:27there's a horse to the outside named Goliad.
02:30He just runs off, and then everybody has to sit and wait and wait for Goliad to get tired
02:35and come back to the field.
02:36I think the one that's going to do it is Funtastic again.
02:38He's going to sit a nice trip at 5-1.
02:40All right, let's go to the Surf and Turf, the final racing weekend at lovely Del Mar
02:48in SoCali.
02:49Yep, we got a couple for you out there.
02:53Race number three, we'll look at the number eight in there, Coulere.
02:56This is a race with a lot of young horses going long on the grass, and most of this
03:01field has not run.
03:02Coulere actually comes over from Ireland in a race where this horse defeated 12 other
03:07rivals in that debut.
03:09I think Coulere just has the experience, and we got one more for you a little later on
03:14on the card at Del Mar.
03:15It's going to be in race number six.
03:16The number nine, Arrakis.
03:18This horse chased a very good horse in their debut, a horse named Gaming, who's going to
03:23actually be running on Sunday in the big grade one Del Mar Futurity.
03:27I think Arrakis is going to be a lot fitter now.
03:30After having made his first start, he's going to cut back a little bit.
03:33He's offering you 6-1 on the morning line, so a couple 6-1 shots out there at Del Mar
03:38for you.
03:39The Varela Futurity at Del Mar.
03:41What a weekend in California, and at the downs, and the bluegrass state.
03:49It's great.
03:50All right, let's go to Pain Day NFL and see who you like here.
03:55You got a couple of plays for us.
03:57Yeah, I'm always going to look for dogs most of the time, especially something I can put
04:01a few bucks on on the money line, so I have two for you this weekend.
04:04The first one is going to be the Raidas Plus 3 at the Chargers.
04:09Now, I say at the Chargers, but I've lived in Southern California, in Los Angeles, my
04:12entire life.
04:13There is no home field advantage for the Chargers.
04:16The team that actually has the most support of any team in Southern California is the
04:20Raiders, because there's still a contingent of Raider fans that were here, and even when
04:24the Raiders moved to Oakland, they still rooted for them, so you'll see more Raider fans at
04:29that game.
04:30I think the best unit is the defensive front for the Raiders.
04:33They actually had nine returning starters from a good defense last year, and they even
04:36added, they have one of the best defensive lines in football, so I'm going to go with
04:41the Raiders there, and I'm going to go with the Jags.
04:43Remember, this team was like the darling of the AFC a few years back.
04:47Last year, Lawrence got banged up.
04:50I think Lawrence is much more healthy.
04:52This team needs to be able to run the ball a little bit, though, so a couple dog plays
04:56on the money line.
04:57Don't forget about shop.drf.com.
04:59We'll be talking football and ponies with you every week.
05:02Scotty, it's the greatest time of the year right now.
05:06Thanks for watching.
05:08Bye.
05:09Bye.
