00:00Of course, we had the news yesterday, Scotty, that Russell Wilson's calf is giving him some
00:08problems again.
00:10Wilson did say today, Scotty, that he does want to play on Sunday.
00:14Imaging showed them, quote, good news.
00:17But Justin Fields did do all of the throwing at the media portion of practice today.
00:23The injury report just came out.
00:26He is officially listed as questionable for Sunday.
00:30He was limited at practice today.
00:33Here is Mike Tomlin from yesterday, Scotty.
00:36He doesn't seem very concerned if Wilson doesn't play at all.
00:40Mike, what are the, any long-term concerns about Russell's calf?
00:44None.
00:45When did he report the tightness?
00:47He was a limited participant.
00:49Mike, same calf as training calf?
00:52Yes.
00:53How much does that impact game planning for Sunday?
00:55It really doesn't at all, to be honest with you.
00:57Does he have to go get it looked at or examined by anybody?
01:00We probably will, just to exercise an abundance of precaution.
01:03Mike, what's your opinion of Justin's readiness and do you think you might have to go to him?
01:09I'm extremely comfortable if that is the case, certainly.
01:12There you go.
01:14This is all such nonsense.
01:16If the guy's calf is bad, play Fields.
01:19If Fields wins, so be it.
01:22And then Fields is the quarterback.
01:24If he loses, which he will, he'll eventually lose because he always does.
01:30He throws a lot of picks and he makes a lot of stupid mistakes.
01:33That's why the Bears got rid of him.
01:35People keep acting like the Steelers found this gigantic bar of gold, like Bob Melendez
01:42over here.
01:44Gold bar, Bob.
01:45They got this gold bar in Justin Fields.
01:49Justin Fields throws more interceptions than I do throwing Nerf balls to the kids in the
01:54neighborhood.
01:55I mean, honestly, so eventually he'll screw it up.
01:59But why am I going to play some guy with a bad calf?
02:02He's already old and washed, let alone like here, let's roll him out with a bad calf and
02:07see how he does running around in Atlanta on Sunday.
02:10If they want problems, real problems by losing him, then play him because then he'll tear
02:16it and he'll be out a month.
02:20Steelers are getting three and a half in Atlanta.
02:22Forty two and a half is the total for this game.
02:25I like the under Scotty.
02:27I like the under 42 and a half.
02:30Yeah, I'm fair with that.
02:32And you know, we don't know what we're going to see with Pits.
02:38We don't know what we're going to see with Cousins.
02:40Is he going to, you know, he's already been like, I'm looking forward to getting hit so
02:45that I could, you know, get through it.
02:47He hasn't played since tearing his Achilles.
02:49We don't know what we're going to see.
02:51I've already seen Wilson and Fields and they, they both suck.
02:55I mean, let's face facts.
02:57You watched them, right?
02:58Like they played and they were both terrible.
03:02I mean, they couldn't complete a pass in preseason games.
03:06It's embarrassing.
03:07I don't want anything to do with this game.
03:09I told you before I look flat out.
03:13I think the Steelers defense is better than Atlanta's team as a whole, just the defense
03:19in itself.
03:20So I'm writing a running game.
03:23I'm writing defense and I got to be honest with you.
03:27I think London and Pits are really good, but I think Pickens is just as good.
03:31I don't know if the Steelers can get the ball to Pickens, you know, maybe just throw screen
03:35passes to him and see what he does because throwing downfield for the Steelers is going
03:39to be a circus this year.
03:41That's just all there is to it.
03:43Neither one of those guys do anything but have problems.
03:46I mean, honestly, like the same thing I said about Fields, like we have to acknowledge
03:51that Wilson is going down the other side of the mountain.
03:55This guy's not the guy you think he is from Seattle.
03:58He's not.
04:00He's already writing children's books.
04:02He's not like a great quarterback anymore.
04:05Those days are over.
04:07Finished a long way from those Seattle Super Bowl teams.
04:12The Steelers did give Pat Friermuth four years, 48 million in extension for the tight end,
04:18who we all love there in Pittsburgh.
04:20So nice job.
04:21I like him.
04:22I like the other guy that's 6'8 and, you know, 300 pounds.
04:25I'm a big believer, as you know, in throw it up and see who can get up the highest to
04:30catch it.
04:31And if you got a guy that big, he's jumping, he's 10 foot 5 when he's jumping and he can
04:38run you over.
04:39He's 300 pounds.
04:40I mean, he is a load to bring down.
04:44So they got two tight ends, the Steelers.
04:46The Steelers are a better team than the Falcons.
04:49Watch the Falcons a win by 14.
04:52Nice price for Friermuth this week to score too.
04:54It was like in the 320, 340 area.
04:56Didn't quite make my card that we're going to have, but I might still play him on Sunday.
