00:00So, as a ministry, and together with all the other stakeholders, we are prepared for these
00:06spiking cases.
00:07As the Waziri has said, our surveillance has been heightened, now we have enhanced our
00:12surveillance.
00:13We are looking out for all the cases.
00:16We have screened more than 680,000 people who are coming into the country, across all
00:23the 26 ports of entry into the country, so that we make sure that we limit the imported
00:29cases.
00:30At the same time, we have conducted 100, as of yesterday, 124 tests, which 111 came out
00:39negative, five came out positive, and nine are undergoing analysis, so we will be able
00:45to give those results once we get them.
00:48We have also employed very advanced diagnostic tests, which actually conduct genomic sequencing,
00:58where we are able to look at the genetic formation of these pathogens, and we have been able
01:04to classify that the first case was Clade 1B.
01:08We actually categorized them into clades.
01:11It was Clade 1B, which is more severe, and which is circulating mainly in Central Africa,
01:18which was imported into the country.
01:20So we are continuing to make sure that we contain the situation as soon as possible.
