00:02Here's what we're watching on the street today.
00:05It was a mixed performance on Wall Street Thursday
00:07as investors tried to figure out if the economic glass was
00:10half full or half empty.
00:12The Institute for Supply Management Services Index
00:15came in at 51.5 in August, which was steady growth
00:19from the month before.
00:20New orders were up.
00:21Inflation was stable.
00:23But employment fell for the fifth time in six months.
00:27In other news, if you're looking for a Halloween costume
00:30idea, what about going as your favorite Chipotle item?
00:34The popular eatery is teaming up with Spirit Halloween
00:36to launch a line of meme-worthy costumes.
00:39I'm talking Chipotle burrito, a napkin, a fork, a water cup,
00:43or a to-go bag.
00:45Chipotle chief brand officer Chris Brandt
00:47said in a statement, quote, our popular Halloween tradition
00:51burrito began with a burrito-themed costume contest.
00:55And now we're taking it to the next level
00:57with the launch of our first ever costume collection
01:00collaboration.
01:01The decorated body suits come in adult sizes only
01:04and cost just under $40.
01:07Chipotle is trying to capitalize on its solid brand recognition
01:11and rip-roaring sales success by filling up
01:13social media feeds with something
01:15other than its menu items.
01:17For its part, Spirit Halloween will sell the costumes
01:20in-store and online.
01:22The retailer spares no effort in trying
01:24to bring in big sales for the holiday
01:26through pop-up shops around the country.
01:29This year, it will have more than 1,500 shops
01:32and employ 50,000 holiday workers.
01:34American consumers are expected to top the record $12.2 billion
01:39in Halloween spending seen in 2023.
