00:00So as we zoom out to take a look at the rest of the Gulf Coast what's happening right now is we
00:03have this tropical rainstorm right here off the Gulf Coast and what that does is that creates an
00:08area of low pressure and what that does is that has what we call counterclockwise spin so you can
00:14slowly look if you look at the the motion of those showers and storms just now coming on shore you
00:20can see that they are rotating in a counterclockwise motion and what that's doing is whenever that
00:26happens and these things are moving like this they move very slow so whenever you get this
00:31heavy rainfall right now moving that slow that's whenever you can slowly start to see the rainfall
00:36totals just increase increase increase and that's exactly what's going to happen here as we head
00:41into this afternoon and as we head into this evening the other area I want to take a closer
00:45look at here is going to be parts of Wyoming and Colorado this is going to be across the
00:51it's going to be across the Rockies and earlier there were some severe thunderstorm warnings
00:55ongoing but as of right now all those severe thunderstorm warnings have been allowed to expire
00:59which is good but there will still be a few strong thunderstorms passing from time to time you can
01:04see a lot of lightning right there passing just to the northeast of Denver but from Cheyenne down
01:08through Fort Collins there's this little band right there of showers moving in some lightning
01:12associated with those so you will hear those rumbles of thunder before the strong rainfall
01:17and the heavy rainfall pushes its way in so we will be watching these areas very closely but
01:21it's primarily going to be this area of low pressure off the gulf coast that's what's going
01:25to bring our biggest chance of showers and storms as we hit throughout the next couple of days
01:29and that tropical rainstorm is going to bring drenching thunderstorms here across the southeast
01:34and the gulf coast over the next couple of days and then that area of low pressure is going to
01:38slowly work its way on shore that's going to bring some heavy heavy rainfall look at these
01:43rainfall projections as we head throughout the next couple of days widespread heavy flooding
01:47rainfall across parts of Louisiana but it's going to be primarily the Florida panhandle parts of
01:53Alabama parts of Georgia where we're going to see the heaviest rainfall some of this could be
01:58very dangerous here as we head throughout the next couple of days Jeff absolutely and that
02:02flood concern is going to be with us right through the end of the week as we travel farther east.
