00:39following the arrest of dismissed mayor Alice Guo in Jakarta Indonesia based on

00:44the information the president received from the authorities Guo was arrested at

00:481 a.m. today the president acknowledged the efforts of the concerned government

00:52agencies following this development I congratulate all law enforcement

00:57personnel who made this apprehension possible the public may not know the

01:02intricate details of this mission that you have successfully accomplished but

01:06on their behalf accept my thanks the president also said it became easier for

01:11the Philippine government to track guru down due to the assistance of the

01:15Indonesian government alongside this the president strongly emphasized that those

01:19who aided abetted or colluded in Alice guru's exit of the country will be held

01:24accountable let this serve as a warning to those who attempt to evade justice

01:30such is an exercise in futility the arm of the law is long and it will reach you

01:40this government continues in its duty to apply the rule of law however the

01:46president pointed out that guru will be given her rights to legal protections

01:49but assured that the resolution of her case will be swift miss go shall be

01:53entitled to all legal protections do her under the laws of the land and pursuant

01:58to our commitment to the rule of law but we will not allow this to prolong the

02:03resolution of the case whose outcome will be a victory for the Filipino

02:09people guru is expected to return to the country anytime soon
